honestly the whole get China to stop eating dogs movement really doesn’t sit well with me. there are so many cultures that value cows, goats, etc. but Americans don’t stop eating that… so….

So I watched a short video on it. And it’s not them eating the dogs that people have a problem with. It’s how the dogs are treated before being killed and eaten that is the problem. They’re locked in small cages with waaay to many dogs and they’re starved and beaten and it’s really awful. So I don’t care if they eat the dogs, I just want the dogs to be treated right.

americans do the same with their livestock. treatment of chickens cows and pigs is absolutely brutal. but the people who point at chinese people for being “barbaric” towards “man’s best friend” are normally the ones who are simultaneously chowing down on a burger, so

Lmao, I was literally actually thinking about making a post along the lines of this, tbh, like how many westerners freak the fuck out at dog meat dishes in China and South Korea but will turn around and laugh at Hindus for being horrified at beef dishes? Or mock Muslims for not eating pork? It’s like the only valid, moral and civilized diet is a Western diet, no matter how badly they treat the livestock or how filthy the animals they eat (ew, pigs) are.
