How is it that the ghostbusters get first crack at it in your mind? How many mysteries have they solved? You got any idea how much shit they’d get in for frying some disgruntled insurance salesman with a metric fuckton of nuclear plasma, killing him instantly? No, fam–the scooby gang’s going in first, and if it turns out it’s a legit ghost, they call in the ‘busters to SWAT its ass. That’s how it works.

Why is it that people associate “high school dropout” with being a failure?  Shout out to the people who decide to leave high school because the depression has eaten away at them. Shout out to the people who drop out of high school but still have dreams of becoming a doctor. Shout out to the people who lay awake at night crying because they have to decide whether they want to stay at school and suffer or if they want to be known as a “failure” amongst their family, friends, and peers. Shout out to the people who don’t fit in to the average high school system and that are still looking forward to a life after (college, work, etc.). Dropping out of high school does not invalidate you as a person and it doesn’t mean you’re any less smart.  Also please realize that the weight of high school has many different affects on teens. So just because your high school experience was relatively shitty but you were able to tough through it DOES NOT give you the right to invalidate someone who decided that high school wasn’t going to be the place where they shine.  And don’t just assume that people that dropout/ decide to leave high school are just “lazy.” 90% of the time it has something to do with (but is not limited to): problems at home, emotional distress, depression, to heavy of a workload, financial issues.  So before insulting someone because they decided that high school wasn’t the right setting for them, try to understand what they’re going through.
