I'm curious after realizing you got the NA version, but are Cuttlefish dialogues as incredibly racist as some people say they are? 👀 Because I heard the NA translation made that part of him worse (and made people see him only as the racist old man-)

actually cuttlefish as what I remember was just being a sweet old guy the whole time, I don’t remember him saying anything bad here,,, but what you’re talking about is in splatoon 2, they made both Marie AND cuttlefish pretty racist, cuttlefish treating marina like a specimen and Marie kinda saying octarian slurs in a way

#“Wow Marina… you’re so articulate” -cuttlefish talking to a grown woman #“Ha octoslob!!” -Marie after agent 4 pummels a little tentacle in the way #also I think there’s a slim chance the hypnoshade garbage that they said callie went though MIGHT have been a false translation #I think it might be a rumor but the way the NOA translation team has been basically writing fanfiction in the game I could believe it
