Healthy indoor air quality is key in 60 sq ft. @vacayvans van build consists of sustainable non-toxic materials including wool for insulation, renewable linoleum flooring, no-formaldehyde-added lumber, and recycled barn wood. Lisa found old lumber, hardware, nails/screws, and more at her local @habitatforhumanity ReStore to save money when building her van Freebird. Conventional materials like laminate flooring "off gas" for an average of five years. This means they may be emitting toxic chemicals into your tiny home. If you can't afford higher priced materials, try to find older laminate flooring at your local reuse store because it's likely it's already off-gassed anything harmful. If you dream it, it will come. @mlbourne spent months working with her dad and fiancé to finish converting a cargo van into a tiny home. She bought this 2006 Sprinter on New Years Day of 2019 and thought the van would be ready to go by the summer. It took a bit longer, but it shows that hard work pays off. Tanja illustrates beautiful, whimsical vanlife inspired art while Lyn creates surreal jungles filled with aliens and creatures. Snowy van travels here in Colorado ❄️When we can’t be barefoot in the snow, our furry friends remind us how to reconnect with nature outside. @vivobarefoot has created a minimalist shoe made from plant based fibers and repurposed plastic waste. Thank you for traveling from near and far for our first-ever New Orleans Vanlife Gathering! We are so grateful for @irietoaurora & @tinyhousetinyfootprint for putting on this special event, as well as @tmhsc for providing a beautiful space to gather, all of our volunteers for stepping up to help, our workshop leaders and panelists, our MCs @enjoythejourney.today & @samvanzam, our partners @renogysolar, @lifestraw & @sanuk and all of our content creators. What an incredible team we have and we feel so loved! It was such an honor to have Grayhawk Perkins, Native American Choctaw of the Muscogee Nation, opening up the gathering with acknowledgment of the traditional Native inhabitants of the land.
