            HE LOOKS AT VANITAS, THEN BACK AT the creature, then back at Vanitas. With a stutter, he submits. “Y…yes sir. I’ll take care of it.” 

            HE DIDN’T WANT TO. He honestly just wanted to shoot the damn thing, but he didn’t know if that would do any good against the shadowy creature.

THE  DARK  THING  HUMS  OUT  HIS  APPROVAL  before the glass of the helmet slowly melts back over his face.     the floods recede with soft hisses,  returning to their master’s side  to cling to his legs & clamber up his torso ;    they seem content with this decision as well.

            “AN UNVERSED….?” Any further questions would be put on halt once he heard what came next. “I– It’s mine?! But, I don’t want it! It’s scary! it’ll eat me! It probably has diseases— I– I don’t want it!”

THE  LITTLE  HARERAISER  STARTS  TO  WHIMPER,   covering its face with its ears again.     anyone else might  pity  the thing,  but not vanitas ;    he simply shifts on the balls of his feet,  a bemused expression on his face as the helmet’s visor melts away for only a moment.     if his unfortunate companion wants something to be  AFRAID  OF,   then it certainly  isn’t  the unversed moping about by his feet.

            “YES MONSIEUR, UNDERSTOOD monsieur.” He quickly and obediently surrendered.

            “W-WHAT IS THAT THING?” He trembled further. He never asked to be working for Maleficent, or with those on the side of darkness, but it was what Gaston had ordered him to do. He didn’t like anything to do with it, really…. most of it terrified him.

“  IT’S  AN  UNVERSED.  ”

the shade grins behind his helmet as the hareraiser mopes its way towards the hapless villager.     luckily it’s simply  that  & not one of the  LARGER  unversed,  otherwise vanitas might be watching  carnage  unfold.     so he lets the little rabbit curl its ears around the man’s leg,  seeming to feel a certain  DELIGHT  in the thing taking  comfort  in a human.
