I got my hens for eggs and Peach is honestly more of a pet at this point. Cuddles up to me and everything.

Their little lives are so much more interesting than I thought they'd be, and it really is sad that people are so ignorant to it.

#I'm not a vegan btw I still eat meat #But you can respect the life of an animal while still consuming their products #And it's a huge red flag when people act like those things are mutually exclusive

The girls are still getting acclimated to their new coop, but Peach got to explore a bit with heavy supervision.

She would occasionally look up to make sure she was close to us, and if she had wandered too far for her own standards, she'd hurry back over to us.

The sweet little lady didn't even struggle when I picked her up to go back in.

Picked up these girls yesterday! Cage was a temporary one-night thing until I could bring them to the coop, but it's a good picture of them.

The salmon faverolle is Peach, the black copper maran is Daisy, and the easter egger is Rosalina. I definitely have a favorite, but shhh.

At the time of writing this, they're getting used to their new coop.
