She was completely oblivious to the fact that another boy was staring at her, namely because she was completely oblivious to everything whenever Luke was around. The world could've been burning to the ground around them and she would've had no idea, and that's the way she liked to keep it. She knew he'd have to go home again someday, so she liked knowing that she'd spent as much time with him as she could while she could. Laughing a little, he squeezed her hand tightly - almost as his own reassurance that she was here and here to stay. It was extremely comforting to know that she loved him and he loved her, that’s just the way things would always be because he knew she was the one for him. “Nobody could ever hate you - including a dog.” Luke said with a slight laugh. Now that he thought about it, he wasn’t sure how anybody could ever hate Valerie, she was everything and anything you could ever want in life and damn, did he love her. Her words triggered an explosion in his stomach and he shut his eyes for a few seconds after they kissed, quickly smiling at the thought of him being her only. “Gross, no guy is ever gonna kiss my girl. If someone even tried to they’d be gone. You’re mine and no one else’s, got it?” He told her with a raised eyebrow before he was leaning in for another taste of her sweet lips. Nodding her head, Valerie's teeth raked over her bottom lip once he'd pulled away. "Got it. Only yours, forever yours. All of that stuff." She couldn't actually imagine anything going wrong just as long as she had Luke, so all of her concerns seemed to fly out the window. "You're my man." Valerie confirmed, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. "And you've totally ruined me for anyone else. Like -- if another guy so much as kissed me all he'd taste is your name." She told him honestly, because there was absolutely no way that she'd ever find someone that she loved as much as Luke and really, just the idea made her want to laugh because no, that'd never happen. They'd never be apart. "There's never gonna be another guy." She promised, a slow smile tugging at her lips.

Loving every second of their quiet talks and cuddles until they fell asleep, he usually wasn’t a fan of being lovey dovey with someone but she brought out that in him.
