“Uh… Yes.” Amy admitted, nodding her head to confirm herself in her own mind. “Thank you, I didn’t want to go all out and drag the attention too much to me. Everyone else – compared to us – seems so underdressed.”

“Well, alright. I’m not going to refuse that offer.” Theo smiled. “How many drinks did you manage to get for free? You must be a real charmer to get so many.”

After quickly taking a shot, his expression became sour; because of the strong alcoholic taste and because of the name Val called him, “kitten?” Brett smiled, “I’ve been ‘drinking up’ since I walked through the door but I’ve consumed so much alcohol that it barely does anything to me anymore.”

He gasped as he took the gifts from Val, “it’s like Christmas!” Brett had a huge smile on his face even though he was skeptical on why she was being so generous to him. “Have I been a good boy this year or something?”

Finally. “About time.” Amy complained a little, her eyes narrowing at the strawberry-blonde before she gazed around the room, judging everyone’s dress up material in comparison to her own. “You look nice.” the blonde said absently. 

“Uhm–” Theo raised a brow in confusion but nodded his head anyways. “Sure? Where are we going?”

“Ugh, what did I do now?” Brett let her drag him to where ever she was so determined to get.

“  drinking for fun or to drown your sorrows?  ”

“  well then, i’m definitely up for some drinks. i’ll be drinking today and tomorrow. quite an eventful two days. you’re going to the party, i assume.  ”

fitz: yes. . .

fitz: you and i were. . .

fitz: and then you. . .

val: what the hell are you talking about!!

“Hmm,” Brett tilted his head and looked into the distance. He was really contemplating what she had said. “Challenge accepted,” his eyes met Val’s again. “Whoever gets more guys to buy them drinks, gets a free drink from the other person.”

“  sure. i’d ask what went wrong but i doubt you wanna talk about it. so let’s just hit up the nearest bar instead.  ”
