His day wasnāt terribly long nor was it inevitably boring, and yet Sinbad felt the need to leave the office and indulge himself. It was what he was best at in any case as he slipped out as quietly as he could with promises in his mind of returning when someone truly needed him. Perhaps by the time he was done having his own little fun on the outside, the office would be blazing with activity, but he didnāt think that the paperwork planted on his desk would ever become fun.
Either way, he left the building to stroll down to his favorite cafe and relax as he was prone to do. When he first entered, he glanced at a young woman sitting out front, obviously unhappy with her work and it made him chuckle. He hadnāt expected the girl to hear him, but he dipped his head in a nod and carried on inside, wishing her well in his thoughts.
The moment he entered the cafe, a barista was at the ready for him, already listing his options and some of his few favorite choices. He put in an order and as he began to wait for his choice of drink to be prepared, Sinbad glanced over to the outside and almost laughed once he saw the girl trying and failing to hide her gaze from him. He found the gesture sort of cute, and thought perhaps he shouldnāt tease her, and yet he wanted to.
Upon grabbing his drink once the order was called out for him to grab, Sinbad swaggered back out of the cafe and stopped at the bench, choosing to slip in beside the girl. āA fine day to work outside isnāt it, miss?ā
With her concentrationĀ thoroughly muddled up at her flustered thoughts and with her hand already rooting around in her bag, hunting and praying her fan was in there, she of course had no idea that the man that done such a thing would come and sit right next to her. When he did, she let out a silentĀ squeakĀ beforeĀ turning to look at him for a moment. Not a very good idea because when she did, she had to turn away. No, tooĀ embarrassing, she couldn't just look him in the eye-- he had probably caught her staring atĀ him.
"I-Indeed it is..." She finally breathed out, plucking her coffee from the table once again and taking a sip from it, feeling herself calm down ever so slightly when she drank it. The coffee wasn't exactly warm anymore, but she didn't mind, anything to keep herself relaxed. Her papers were sort of thrown all over the desk, andĀ realizingĀ this, sheĀ organized them into a neat pile so there was enough space for the new addition to the table. "Quite a nice day, well, spending it indoors would be a waste of the sun."
Now there was only the problem of how she was going to get her work done with this person now occupying her table with her, clearly distracting her from any and all attempts to try and come up with an idea for her assignment. All her hopes of productivity were out the window, and it was all because of this man. What a bother, she didn't like this feeling at all. She got like this when it came to her older brother, on a much larger scale of course, but still flustered all the same.
Continuing to keep a hold of her notes and papers, she managed another glance at him for a moment before breathing out and pulling out one paper she had been looking at inĀ particular. "But, I guess... even if the weather is good, too much heat can throw off your focus, right?"
