The Sporkbearer Saga

In recent news, my car, my lovely little Mira (short for “Miracle”) has been admitted to our local mechanic’s care. We’re not yet sure of the exact diagnosis (oil is leaking into the coolant, but we don’t know from where), and so far replacement parts alone are going to cost at least $1,100.

So.

To get me back into a writing habit, to get my mind off of things, to do something that I think will be a little challenging and a lot fun, and possibly (in the beyond-the-moon-absolute-bestest-best case scenario) to defray a little of Mira’s bill, I’ll be opening my ask box for a round of what we’ll call Drabble Commission Bingo.

Main points:

1. I’m not charging for this! These will be short and fun and pay-as-you-will. If you read the drabble and feel like contributing to my BuyMeACoffee page after, that’s amazingly incredibly awesome, but if you don’t, no worries!

2. The drabbles will be around 500 words, longer if I’m really inspired by your prompt.

3. No fanfic for liability reasons, nothing over PG-13 rating.

Ladies and gents, here we have an excellent example of how plotbunnies can mutate when exposed to new fandoms. 

The original plotbunny (code name: Werewolves in SPACE! or WWiS!) was inspired by my brain going, Mercy Thompson werewolves + Cowboy Bebop space shenanigans = ???

This produced something along the lines of "technopathic girl joins werewolf bounty hunter brothers on adventures through the solar system and insanity ensues."

Over time, it gained some sprinkles of Firefly and Star Wars for flavor. Also vampires, elves, fae, cyborgs, etc. Because why not.

Now, thanks to fellow Tumblrs introducing me to The Adventure Zone and Critical Role (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE), the equation has been updated to [Mercy Thompson + Cowboy Bebop + (Star Wars + Firefly)] x DND.

Lacking a DND group for a creative outlet, I did the logical thing and created an entire space-fantasy adventuring party.

Meet the Cast:

Conry - technopathic human girl, the ADHD/anxious sweetheart, hacks computers with magic

Sebastien "Bast" Sinclair - werewolf guy, the impulsive, adventurous charmer, tinkerer/inventor

Alexander "Lex" Sinclair - werewolf guy, the quiet, strategic thinker, trying desperately to keep these morons alive

Kin’Amare - genderfluid elf* mage, writes trashy romance novels and likes shiny things

Alterra "Terra" Walker - shapeshifter grifter woman, social disaster lesbian

Lidota Pho - Pangori** (alien) warrior female, group mom, gentle-giant-slash-tank, loves learning about new cultures

Serban Vult - vampire boy doctor, looks innocent, actually perpetually irritated, germaphobe

Curiosity "Curi" - tiny dragon, group mascot, psychically bonded to Conry

TL;DR, I'm so stuck on this bunch of idiots that I’m considering creating a separate tumblr so people can watch in real time as I lose damn my mind over my own imaginary characters. 

But in the meanwhile I’m just going to spam some stuff on here.
