Sometimes we think of proactive assistant as creepy as it is, but that's part of the magic that designers should take care of. Being considering instead of creepy. Totally nailed it.

The 80/20 Apply to UI Design
https://medium.com/life-hacking-2/the-ultimate-guide-to-learning-anything-faster-4ef555034c8c
I happened to read something about the 80/20 rule, which makes me thinking — should it also apply to the matter of design? Sometimes I ponder: Is it a good way to do things to the most perfect degree? It’s hard to be given the idea that insistence on your professional is wrong. However, according to 80/20 principle, you should embrace the 80 percent growth of the initiate 20% effort you put in. So to say, in the matter design, when we want to build a function that can work for 80% of the user, you should just take it as soon as possible, because for the rest 20% perfection, you need 80% of the efforts to get it done, which for most of the cases, sadly, we won’t have time for them. From time to time, people who I’ve been working with are kind of pissing me off by throwing things out as if they don’t really care because they think they are the negligible 20% perfection, because I believe the crucial facts between a average design and great design rely on those 20% perfection. Maybe the best way for me to solve this dilemma is to follow the 80/20 design, and remember to polish the lasting 20% when time is available.
Office 365 Really pissed me off
This morning Office 365 force me to change my password, which pissed me off.
There’s 3 problems of the user experience:
1. The idea of changing your password frequently doesn’t make sense to me at all. Because it’s troublesome, especially when you have to think of one different, and complex password every one to two month. I’d rather make sure the password is strong enough for the very first time.
2. Since the password is rather complex, there’s a chance for type in the wrong one. However, you don’t have any chance to check whether you type in your old password right or wrong.
3. When you have to fill in all three blanks and if there were one single mistake, you will have to refill them a again, it’s a stressful and unpleasant experience. You’ve better make the user only have to refill the wrong section, not the entire fucking form.
I use office 365 because my company uses it. If I have the chance, I will throw it right into the garbage can and never go back.
Finally, iOS version of XONE is coming! But there’s still tons of things go off in our interface. Need to fix them all!

UI design most of the time is really a bunch of boring shitty job, fixing messy product form engineers who don’t give a shit about the interface.
You have to be the one who REALLY care about the details and urge engineers to fix it to pixal perfect.
Design for kids can be fun, but there's also lots of things must aware of. This article provides great observation for how to design for kids.
