❥; Satisfied with her compliance, Yuu instantly goes to work. The pencil dances across her closed eyelids, making gentle sweeps upwards to form the wings. Perfecting the second eye, Yuu closes the eyeliner pencil, pulling a liquid eyeliner out of their pocket. They go over the first layer, darkening it. The second eyeliner returns to the pocket, and for a final touch Yuu gently brushes over the chef's eyelashes with a mascara brush. They stand back, satisfied, pulling a handheld mirror out of the seemingly bottomless pocket.

       ”—Hm?”

 ❥; The grin turns into a pout as they lean closer, holding the chef's face with one hand. The second hand returns from behind their back, revealing an eyeliner pencil.

       Usually Hanako would bluntly point out the mistakes of a flawed      dish presented to her, but since it was obvious the other two-star      went out of their way and visited an unfamiliar line of work just to      make her something for her birthday— all those imperfections were      ignored as she flashed them one of her rare smiles.

 ❥ As they presented the cake to the chef, Yuu rocked back and forth on their heels, biting their lip with anticipation. The positive reaction from the snowy-haired chef followed by a rare smile brought a dorky grin to their face.
