THE ROLLING STONES arriving at London’s Hyde Park to perform a free concert introducing their new guitarist MICK TAYLOR, July 5, 1969
“Yes, I feel I am a Rolling Stone now. It didn’t at first. It wasn’t like being part of the group until we did that concert in the park. I’ve done quite a bit of recording with them now, and I’m playing what I want to play. I don’t want to play solos all the time—I like to play songs. I agree that the only thing you could really hear in the park was the PA system, and of course Mick [Jagger] was in a bit of a state beforehand. We want to do a tour next, probably a world tour in the autumn.” — Mick Taylor
