The Difficult decision of sending your child for a Sleep away Camp
There are different types of camps; day camps and night camps. Parents have to consider many factors before deciding about the type of camp they want their child to attend.
Night camps are interesting and they aim to boost confidence in the child but the question arises that is your child ready to sleep away from home. Here are some questions you need to ask yourself before sending your child to a night camp:
How does your child respond to adventurous trips?
Some kids have a strong bonding with parents, they don’t enjoy going away from them. If your child does not like sleepovers at friends home or with his grandparents that means it not wise to send your child for a night camp.  You need to make sure that your child is independent enough to go to anovernight camp.
Are you ready to give them the training of being independent?
Sending your child to a sleep away camp is a difficult decision for the parents as well. Handling the separation from your child for the first time is difficult. You need to prepare your child and yourself for this beforehand. It is important that you start discussing with your child about the night stay camp before sending him. Inform them about all the good things. Make it attractive for them so that they handlethe separation from you successfully.
