If you ever run into this "Aztec Dance Workout" out in L.A. Please be aware that this does not represent culture and is in fact a shame to those of us who strive to learn, preserve, grow, & pass on the knowledge of our ancestral roots. In addition, our youth and families use Aztec/Mexica Dance to create bonds, stronger communities, and helps keep kids out of gangs. Our practices are free and open to all. These "Aztec Dance Workout" people however, are strictly for profit charging $15 per class and view our traditional/cultural dances as mere show. And although they claim to respect our culture they blatantly call our Dance attire "costumes" implying a false identity. Unfortunately, because there is profit to be made, dancers like this man, Jesus aka Choka, turn the cheek and appoint themselves great teachers. The self proclaimed Messiah LOL and so this picture has surfaced in criticism of his lack of character despite his claim to righteousness. Make 'em sweat!
