Egregores...
what is an egregore?
small summary >
An egregore is a created being, all throughout history humans have been putting their energy and thoughts into mythology, deities, religions, people and concepts.
essentially the energy we give these concepts, let's it live, a formed thought, a group manifestation, normally not done intentionally.
An egregore does not need to be a god or a mythological creature, it can be political powers, celebrities, symbols and so on.
Due to the concept of an egregore, some people use it to their power, to create a god or deity, or a symbol.
an egregore is also an everyday concept, in many ways, something we don't fully realise either.

this concept has always interested me, because through researching and learning about different religions, belief systems, symbols etc... many of them seem to have "proof" or proof that they "work" and a lot of them have a sense to it. And it made me think personally, as we are always told that there is only one correct religion. When really could the religion a person believes in ONLY apply to them since they give it that power? therefore technically everyone is right in their beliefs? On top of that, many of these religions, and belief systems seem to all co-exist with each other. But are we not told there is only one correct religion (whichever one that may be) then how come they all co-exist all with some sort of sense, all with history, and "proof" ? if you think about it simply as well, you simply will not apply religion to your life if you do not believe in it, therefore it will not be effective in your life. Religions state it themselves how important intent and belief is. moving from religion and spirituality, have you seen those friend groups, or movie tropes, where there's a "leader" of a group of people? well, that could also be seen as an egregore, since the people in the group give that person the power, the leader may have already made their position clear, and whos to question it? and once they break away they don't exist in that group normally, or the groups become different/broken down. the concept of an egregore is almost comforting and slightly scary for me personally, but it is nice to think that everyone's religion is right under this concept. Generally, I find this concept fascinating especially when you apply it to all the aspects of life.
