You can discover your favourite band when you’re in your late twenties. You can meet your best friend when you’re in your thirties. You can finally accomplish a life goal when you’re in your fifties. Your youth isn’t the only time frame where amazing, life-changing things can happen.

You’re allowed to be excited about the little things. You’re allowed to be goofy. You’re allowed to be dorky about your favorite tv show, to make blanket forts, to enjoy cheesy movies, even just to sleep with stuffed animals. You’re allowed to do any of the things that make life a little more bearable. It’s fine, ok?

Your feelings are valid. You have every right to feel whatever emotion you want. You aren’t being dramatic. You aren’t over exaggerating. You’re simply feeling. And that’s okay. 

how can u say u are not pretty when u are a cluster of stardust, a walking explosion of nebulas like there are constellations that knot your arteries together, you’re beyond pretty, more like a spectacular sight for all of us

please don’t settle for someone who doesn’t give a shit about your mental health. they can claim they love you over and over but if they don’t care when you’re down, especially if you have mental illnesses, drop them. my ex girlfriend made me start loving myself only to rip that from me by cheating on me. that seriously broke me. she continued to play with my head and heart constantly, knowing about my illnesses. my current boyfriend, on the other hand, really gives a shit. he asks if i’m okay randomly, he checks up on me constantly, he tells me he loves me all the time, he makes me feel good, he makes me feel like living. he reads up on my mental illnesses and actually wants to help. he’s very supportive. please don’t stay with someone just because they “love” you. sometimes love isn’t enough. they need to care and support you as well.
