Betsy goes out, like she does every night, with her best friend Chauncey. She’s in a crowded bar when a band in the corner gets introduced as “The MHCees”. Huh, she thinks, just another stupid cover band. Hope they’re better than the last one. Just then, an angelic voice floats over them, warbling out the first few notes of Betsy’s favorite song. She pushes through the crowd, eager to match a face to the voice. Her jaw drops when she sees mega famous singer/songwriter Mary Lyon on stage with her rumored lover Sir Klaus. She stares at Mary Lyon (she’s always had a crush on her) and wishes she could talk to her. Mary catches her eye and winks and Betsy nearly faints! Chauncey pushes in next to her and whistles.

“Who’s that handsome stud” he says pointing to Klaus.

“I think he’s her boyfriend :(“

They both sigh in mutual gay solidarity. After the show (the best Betsy had ever seen) Mary finds Betsy and offers to buy her a drink. At the bar Betsy asks about her relationship with Sir Klaus, and Mary assures her it’s all for the press and publicity. And then they KISS!
