This is sort of a new intro to my writeblr because I’ve been away so long and haven’t been active in writing or on tumblr- I figured I’d take some time to reintroduce myself and what I’m working on!

My name’s Brandyn but my friends call me Danger, thanks to my Xbox gamertag lol. I’m bi and African-American living in the southern United States(I have to get out of here…)

I’m a reader, writer, podcaster and gamer(I really hate referring to myself as that nowadays but whatever lol).

I love sci-fi, horror and fantasy.

As far as writing goes, my main WIP is Apocalypse Kings, a sci-fi/cosmic horror centering around a group of young adults and a small group of scientists under siege by a band of criminally insane, AI driven robots who are leading an inter-dimensional demonic invasion into their realm. It’s rad af.

HOW WE HAD BEEN ; Book One — Chapter One: The Garden

To this, the girl shot back a focused glare, suntanned fingers knotting in the white/brown fur of the cat. “Knowing what she does is important, giving her a name to know isn’t.”

“Course it is!” Vivian knew the importance behind a name, even if this girl didn't—a name was a little bit of the things and people she met, and once she knew them, she felt like she carried a bit of them with her in the back of her mind. Was a name not important even if that was it’s only purpose? To always carry another with you even if they’re somewhere else? “Everyone and everything needs a name, that’s important—to know who someone is, it’s not to ignore whatever they are. I mean, your mom named you, right? She did that to know you not to ignore you.”

“She named me Benji ‘cause legally you have to name your children unless you have them somewhere in a van,” she said, bitter almost. “I doubt it was to know me.”

THE PLOT:

A couple hundred years into the future after a catastrophic experiment with extra dimensions that flooded most of the world, a fragile existence persists in the world’s oceans through a system of floating cities known as Flötsamburgs.

Flötsamburg 11 in former Greenland, aka Typhoon Landing, is the headquarters of the Danish-Inuit branch of the OASES Initiative, a scientific organization under the bureaucratic Arctic Council that monitors the conditions of the ocean, atmosphere, and the creatures that now lurk beneath the waves…

The story follows a small ragtag research crew of unqualified and underfunded scientists (but scientists nonetheless) as they try to figure out what the hell is going on in their post-Flood world.

Hello guys, sorry for long time no art but I’ve been busy on my other platforms sharing resources and news for the Black Lives Matter movement, so art is currently on pause.

Either way, this is a guide I illustrated for user chivrik on Instagram on how to properly blur and de-trace protest photos. Many protesters have gone missing or turned up dead because they were traced through images they appeared on. Don’t help pigs and protect one another. ACAB and Black lives always matter.

[Image I.D: Tips for protesting in a hijab.
