I wish more people talked about Lev’s brother, Marcus. He lowkey he has the saddest ending. He’s in a coma and when he wakes up not only will he have lost months or years of his life but he’ll have to find out what happened to Pastor Dan and live with his family that unwind thier kids and he’ll most likely never know what happened to Lev and if he doesn’t he’ll never know where he went or see him again.

The ending of the whole series was so boring and mediocre. I would have rather Connor had a run in with his family in the middle of the last book or the series lol
I really don’t remember it that well, i was 11 when i read it and thought it was the most emotional thing ever
I think the whole "unwind is a reflection on how society treats minors" really hits hard when you notice how quick people are to judge kids that abuse substances, rather than judging their enablers or the environment they are growing up in.
I can't really fully excuse their actions, especially if they're doing it for the fun of it, but it just sucks how no one considers the factors that made them turn to substances.
I've had family who became addicts, my older brother as an example, when I was younger I judged only him and hated him. Now that im a little older I look back on it and notice how many enablers he had and the poor environment he grew up in.

Highkey I find Argent really relatable.
It’s mentioned a few times in the books that he’s never felt like he a had a purpose. He was constantly jumping from one dream to another but also dropping it halfway through for whatever reason And after all of that he comes to the conclusion that none of it matters; nothing he does matters, so why do anything at all? It leads him to being sorta apathetic to everything and having no ambition, but deep down he still has a sliver of hope that SOMETHING- not himself because he can’t admit that he is the problem- will pull him out of the hellhole of a life he put himself in: hence his “attachment” to Connor and later Nelson. His inadequacies also lead to him being very insecure, leading him to lash out at anyone who he sees as above him- aka Grace.
In all, I just see Argent as a realistically awful person. Obviously he’s not something to aspire to and realizing why and to what degree I relate to him legitimately made me want to be a better person.
I don’t know why I’m putting this here; even though this is anonymous I’m sure ppl can figure who I am just by the mention of Argent Skinner and this is honestly just the tip of the iceberg, but it’s whatever.

I hate that Hayden's story in Unbound is literally 12 pages long while the rest of the stories are way longer and iirc, it doesn't really focus on him that much, like i want to know more about what his life was like before he went awol and all that💔💔😔
