TASK #1: INTRODUCE US TO YOUR CHARACTER

The first task might be basic, but the best way to get to know your characters is for them to be introduced to the dash! There’s no fancy graphic template for this (though I am including 5 for those who want to do one), just a few things about your character.  Here’s the areas I  want see you touch on about your character. 

ABOUT: Write something about your character’s life. It doesn’t have to be long but give some background information about them and how they’ve shaped to be who they are.

MUSIC: Give a short playlist of the music that your music listens to the most or has some significant to their life. Don’t include any music they have released.

THEIR FAVORITE SONG: This is their favorite song they’ve put out of their own catalog. Tell us why this is their favorite and give us a little insight into what emotions it provokes.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: You included one in your bio, you can add as many as you like but tell us what that trait looks like for your character. How do they play together to make them complete.

THREE FUN FACTS: Just three fun facts about them that might not ever come up or would be fun for any siblings or friends to know about them.

Is that LORI HARVEY? Nah, it’s BELLAMY AMIL SCOTT, a 23 year old SINGER/SONGWRITER. Look likes NTHEMIC RECORDS just acquired a new artist. They’ve been in the game for 5 YEARS. Word on the street is that they’re PRAGMATIC but also AIRY. Hopefully they’re not afraid of a little rivalry. They’re contributing to the success of their label with KEHLANI.

TWO CAN KEEP A SECRET:

Due to the pressures of the industry, Bellamy found it imperative to keep her appearance up ⏤ especially when it came to her weight. As a child, she was teased for being chubbier by not only her peers, but her mother as well and overtime she developed an eating disorder. She now suffers from full blown bulimia nervosa and only one person knows from catching her in the act of purging.

CONNECTIONS:

[Female Character’s Name] x ( ‘NIGHTS LIKE THIS’  ): MUSE B was what BELLAMY thought was an experimental phase. Though she’d always been attracted to women, she never saw herself being in a full fledged relationship with one until she met MUSE B. However, once in a relationship the two just clashed in the worst way. The relationship ended with MUSE B falling for a man and leaving BELLAMY. Unfortunately, BELLAMY still has feelings for the female and often falls into a cycle of entertaining her games and lies.

[Male Character’s Name] x ( 'DISTRACTION’ ): Truthfully, BELLAMY is just looking for somebody to occupy her freetime with. With working as hard as she does, sometimes she gets overwhelmed ⏤ MUSE B was an ideal distraction. Not only is their relationship sexual in nature, but the two have actually become really good friends. The fact that the two enjoy being around one another as much as they do is only an additive to the symbiotic relationship; however, she refuses to let him distract her from her work.

NTHEMIC RECORDS & XYPNOTIC ENTERTAINMENT have been in battle the last 25 years. Undeniably, both powerhouses in the game. But the question is who will come out on top and be able to say they’re the best? What are you willing to put on the line to bring the glory to your side? Will your emulous side make you betray those closest to you?

Is that YungBing? Nah, it’s ZABARI XAVIER OBRIEN, a 24 year old RAPPER Look likes NTHEMIC RECORDS just acquired a new artist. They’ve been in the game for 6 YEARS. Word on the street is that they’re INTELLIGENT but also TEMPERAMENTAL. Hopefully they’re not afraid of a little rivalry. They’re contributing to the success of their label with EMINEM (production, writing and rapping credits) .

TWO CAN KEEP A SECRET:

ZABARI does not speak to his mother and has written songs about his childhood and how hard it was growing up with her. A white mother who despised her mixed child because of the father who left her. He grew up with her drugging him, abusing him and hating to see him. When he was 12, she tried to sell him to a neighbor for sex and there were several more attempts of LISA trying to prostitute her oldest son. ZABARI has never spoken about the depths his mother went to support her drug habits and how much she hates him.

CONNECTIONS:

[Character’s Name] x (PRBLMS): ZABARI has not had the easiest or greatest time growing up. He’s angry and unable to figure out what he wants. He drinks to avoid things and the one girl he tried to help and build her cheated on him. It broke his heart. He’s moving on but he likes to remind YOUR CHARACTER that her life isn’t shit, especially without him in it. He tells her she’s the least of his problems, but some days she’s all of them. Even if he can’t tell her why and flaunts other girls in her face. Ideally they have a child together.

[Character’s Name] x (TO MY BED): ZABARI and YOUR CHARACTER don’t get along. She hates his attitude and how rude he is. He thinks she’s too self righteous and judgmental and annoying. However, despite how much they hate each other, they always find themselves hooking up late at night. They rarely make it to a bed. Once the sex is over, they depart. Their physical chemistry is off the charts, but it’s that emotional distance that won’t let them be more than fuck buddies.

[Character’s Name] x (YES INDEED): ZABARI and YOUR CHARACTER are ride or dies. When he left XYPNOTIC ENTERTAINMENT last year, he was starting fresh completely, but he knew he needed something more to give him that edge he wanted, even if his mentor was DR. DRE. There were a lot of hurt feelings, but YOUR CHARACTER stuck by him and they are always stunting together when they’re going out.

Is that  RYAN DESTINY? Nah, it’s CRIMSON REGINA POWELL, a 24 year old SINGER/SONGWRITER Look likes XYPNOTIC ENTERTAINMENT just acquired a new artist. They’ve been in the game for 10 YEARS. Word on the street is that they’re CHARISMATIC but also INSECURE. Hopefully they’re not afraid of a little rivalry. They’re contributing to the success of their label with CARDO, RYAN DESTINY (ACTING) & CUPCAKKE .

TWO CAN KEEP A SECRET:

Being a Powell with her production credits, there is a lot of things that CRIMSON has at her fingertips. She’ll be dropping music and debuting a new television show. But she has to have an angle and a spotlight on her and her name, especially being in her sister’s shadow her entire life. What’s better than joining the ME TOO movement? CRIMSON has accused a famous director of being sexually inappropriate with her and another popular musician of rape. However, the sex with the musician was consensual, but no one knows it but them. She’s using the scandal to boost her career, make others envious of her and put all the focus on her.

CONNECTIONS:

[DOMINIC DILLARD] x (I DON’T FUCKING CARE): DOMINIC doesn’t make any sense to CRIMSON, but she has a lot of feelings for him, that drive her wild. They scare her because she’s only foolish for him, but they’re not good for each other at all. She doesn’t think he truly loves her, because she’s a wreck, so how could he? But she wants him to tell her pretty lies, look her in the face even if it’s fake. Her own feelings could eat her alive, but she tends to act like she doesn’t care when he comes in late or they’re fighting. Clearly they’re not good for each other, but it doesn’t stop them from being toxic together.

[HAELYNN SAGE] x (DEADROSES): During an off season with DOMINIC, CRIMSON found herself dating HAELYNN. They weren’t in love, because livid was vivid, but it was good and CRIMSON had a vision for them. But she wasn’t okay with the distance that was growing while she was okay with falling for her one day. However all between them now are deadroses.

[Character’s Name] x (KNUCK IF YOU BUCK): CRIMSON and YOUR CHARACTER are both in the music game and have been pitted against each other many times. CRIMSON usually ends up beating YOUR CHARACTER in the areas they’re competing in, always bragging and rubbing it in their face. Especially because YOUR CHARACTER used to do this to her when they were the more popular one. CRIMSON tortures YOUR CHARACTER, always taunting them and going after their neck whenever she can. Stepping off their throat is not in her game. She’s protective of her spot and where she’s gotten, so no one is taking that from her.
