How to draw fire with alcohol markers in the negative art technique. Erm. Draw what's on the right, take the negative, get awesome fire (left). Much easier than doing it straight, but admittedly, the shapes still need some work. I'm not that good at drawing fire.

So I've been doodling with purple ink for the past week or so, and at some point realized that its exact negative is lifestream green. I'm playing with drawing/painting things in the negative now and flipping the colors after scanning. This is quite nice, because dark scenes like this, which are mostly black, are very very hard to do with ink and markers. The technique still needs some work, but it's a good start.
