I'm not sure if ghosts get an afterlife

     I’m just going to put it out there; I’m sure everybody and their cousin has noticed by now that I haven’t been on here much. I’ve been checking every day, but… Haven’t really been answering anything. The truth is, I just don’t have a whole lot of inspiration for most of my muses anymore. I write them on Discord or Skype mostly, so if you want either of those, feel free to IM or send an ask. I’ll still roleplay there, where the pressure to perform is a bit lower. You just have to yell at me, because otherwise I’ll have literally no idea if you roleplay on Discord/Skype or not, and it’d be weird for me to just… Hand a starter without knowing. Y’know?

     Second, there’s the group I’ve been working on, Legacy of the Heroes’ Guild. We have an event going on right now, so we’ve been working with that as of late. Feel free to message me or send an ask there if you want to know more about the group, or if you’d like a link to the group Discord; you don’t have to be a member to drop in and check it out, and we always welcome curious people. We’re still in the early stages, but I’m glad to say we’ve come a long way since the opening. We now have quests, shops, events, IC chats and para-rp chats… You get the idea. It’s fully functional, at the very least.

     Anyway, I’m just going to put all my blogs on a hiatus/low activity warning for the time being. I might still do some group-related stuff on them from time to time, but between being very busy IRL and doing the group, I just really haven’t been able to do as much with these blogs as I’d like.

     Alright, with Tumblr’s notifications on the fritz, I’ve decided to do a thread tracker, too. Which has been a long time coming anyways since… I lose things too much. RIP. Anyway, I’ve already listed several threads that I intend to continue on it, so feel free to check that out here.

     If there’s a thread we have that you don’t see there and want to continue, just give me a prod and I’ll go ahead and add it. Also note that this is a list of all my threads across all my blogs; I may add blog name tags to them if they get too hard to differentiate. Most are pretty self-explanatory, though… I think.

We are creating a masterlist for every independent roleplayer. 

    So, I’m gonna do something a bit different this time; I definitely need to plot more with people, plus… Let’s get real, I’m awful at starter calls. On top of that, I never know what muse people want if they follow my main, so there’s that, too. Ice breaker time? I say yes.

     I’ll reblog this to each of my blogs; if you want a particular one of them to plot with, like/reply to it there. If you’re undecided and would like to hear my perspective instead, go ahead and like it here! I’ll pick out a few muses/AUs I think could be interesting, and see where we go from there.

It still surprised her, sometimes, remembering that she wasn’t the only clone that survived. She’d spent a long time thinking that there wasn’t anything left to be salvaged. It was nice to be wrong.

That being said, her feelings about the other were… complicated, to say the least. On the one hand, she was elated that at least one of her brothers had survived. On the other, she felt incredibly guilty that it had taken so long to find and stabilize him. And there was a level of awkwardness, too: what did he really think of her, the one that hadn’t really melted at all? The one who put him in his tenuous position in the first place?

So, it was with some hesitancy that she visited him, smiling sheepishly as she approached.

     That voice caught the boy off-guard... He was suddenly grateful that, at the moment, he’d happened to be in human form. It still wasn’t much to look at, but the specter had heard his ghost form could be a bit... Disturbing. One rough, worn hand rested on the doorway, a shaggy head peeking around the corner with curious blue eyes wide. As much as his facial structure resembled Danny’s, everything else about him-- from the innocent, slightly nervous expression, to the ragged, faded clothing, to his cautious posture-- couldn’t have been more different.

     “Oh, uh... hi.” It seemed to take the boy a moment to register a question had been asked, then he gave a quick, yet uncertain nod in response. “Um... Sure. Doing alright, I guess. You’re... Dani, right?” The clone offered a faintly nervous but reassuring grin, as though to confirm that there were no hard feelings.

        “ Okay, better question… Why? “

         Seemed it didn’t matter what Denny chose to say, because Danny was worried no matter what. He shut the door behind him, then with a concerned expression on his face, made his way over to the wall his cousin was using his head as a battering ram against. He leaned against the wall beside him, trying his best to seem casual and comforting despite the worry he felt. 

     “I...” The young clone quivered, then finally drew back from the wall, falling into a sitting position on the carpet with a soft thump. “Something... Something’s wrong with...” He struggled for the words, fumbling briefly.

        Danny couldn’t help but feel a twinge of disgust upon hearing his clone’s words. It’s ‘fun?’ He was hurting humanity’s chance of survival because it was ‘fun?’ 

        I really hope he’s joking. 

         “ …Aren’t you a ray of sunshine. “ 

         Denny’s words mirrored the words Danny heard almost every day from the demons in the back of his mind. His insecurities, his fears… That summed up a lot of it. ‘It’s a losing battle. Humanity’s doomed. We’re all going to die.’ These thoughts raced through Danny’s mind every time he witnessed another patrol come back with half its members killed or taken prisoner. When a temporary campsite was destroyed and everyone had to pack up and keep moving before they were destroyed as well. When a shipment of supplies was stolen. 

         However… As terrible as these thoughts were, and as frequently as they plagued his mind, he wouldn’t let them overcome him. Everyone else needed him to be strong. They needed him to play this role, so he’d play it as well as he could. He wouldn’t let himself fall victim to despair, and he’d do what he needed to do to keep humanity afloat.

         …And that meant dealing with the pesky halfa that kept messing with their supplies.

         “ I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. Things may look bad, but that doesn’t mean it’s over. If we just give up… What do we do then? Just let ourselves die? That’s not an option. 

         Besides… Being a pessimist doesn’t excuse being a thief. If you don’t want to join us, fine, but you can’t keep actively sabotaging us. You need to stop. “ 

     The spirit’s gaze was stern for a long moment, perhaps even fierce... There was something dangerous in his eyes, a jagged glint like light sparking off the edge of broken glass. There was an unspoken warning there, and the truth was... With how many rumors drifted around about the clone, no one could be entirely certain what powers he even had.  Furthermore, a violent confrontation risked destroying the very supplies that Danny had presumably come to retrieve... This was a precarious situation, to say the least.

     However, the younger halfa’s demeanor seemed to fade once again, that mask of disinterest and faint amusement returning once again. Maybe he didn’t want to risk a fight, either.

     “And then what, I get to starve to death too? It’s slim pickings in the ruins these days. Trust me, been there, done that. I cleaned out every scrap of food from there long before I started messing with your ‘Resistance.’” He shrugged a bit, grinning smugly. “If you don’t want your shipments swiped, maybe don’t let them tromp through the middle of the forest like a bunch of charging elephants? If it wasn’t me, it was gonna be somebody else.”
