Confrontation

I've never been good at confrontation. All my life I've been the kind of person to hold things in. I don't tell people how I really feel because I don't want to offend or hurt their feelings. But as I've started to grow older, I realize more and more how that does no one any good. The only one who gets hurt is me in the end, and I've been hurt and let down too many times. I've decided its time to start telling it like it is. True friends should always be there to listen to you. I'm just tired of faking it. Better than saying, "I love you"

A man wakes up late one Saturday morning with a splitting hangover. He sees a note, a pill, and a glass of water on his night table. He picks up the note. It reads: "Honey, this is for your hangover. I already called your office and told your boss that you weren't feeling well. Love you!" He takes the pill and drinks the water. Then he gets out of bed and heads for the kitchen. He sees a note on the refrigerator door. It reads: "Honey, I made your favorite breakfast and put it on the table. I'll be back before lunch to give you a nice surprise."

Scratching his head, he went to the kitchen and sure enough there was hot breakfast waiting for him and the morning newspaper.

His son was at the dining table eating a bowl of cereals with milk.

Johnny asked him, ” What happened last night?”

His son said, “Well, you came home after 3 a.m. drunk and delirious. You broke some furniture, puked in the hallway and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door.”

Confused, Johnny asked, “So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?”

His son replied,

“Oh that!…. well…. Mom dragged you to the bedroom and when she tried to take your pants off…. you said:

“Hey lady, leave me alone, I’m married!”

I go to work 5 days a week, am on my feet all day, service people and listen to them complain about all kinds of things, and I barely make ends meet.
