Powerful Ad Highlights Just How Racist Beauty Aisles Really Are

Haircare brand SheaMoisture, founded in 1991 in Harlem by Liberian refugees, released an ad on Tuesday. The ad depicts the ways in which women of color are often neglected by the beauty industry. “Break the walls of the beauty industry” is the message to black women everywhere.
