Unmasked Pod is an interactive fanwork.

What does that mean?

That means that, other than this post, every other post going forward is going to be run by the "characters" of the story. This means that you chat directly with the podcast hosts and staff - including Harley Keener, Abby Keener, Gwen Stacey and Eddie Brock.

What is the plot?

The plot! Harley and co host a podcast in a post Accords world. This is an AU within Spider-Man never teamed up with Tony Stark come Civil War to take down Captain America, so his identity is still secret. After a fight in Times Square that leaves the government stating that Spider-Man died, Peter Parker quit wearing the mask for reasons he's not very open about. Follow along with Harley, Abby, Gwen and Eddie as they investigate the identity of Spider-Man and stumble upon a story that goes a lot deeper than they ever expected.

Is this story Parkner?

Yes! The main pairing is intended to be Harley/Peter and I have so many fun ways to integrate it within the story.

Why is this "season 3"?

Simple - I wanted to establish the podcast in the universe as being something people have already paid attention to! The first season was on the Winter Soldier and the second on Hawkeye - two heroes who's identity wasn't hidden and who's history was easy enough to find. It's a fun reference to just how difficult finding info on Spider-Man is going to be for them. These seasons don't ACTUALLY exist. Maybe in the future I'll write some mock up episodes for them, but this isn't their story and because of that we will not be focusing on them.

In order to get the entire story, what do we need to do?

Well that is entirely up to you! There will be "audio transcripts" dropped for each episode as well as chapters from both Harley and Peter's point of views. Theoretically, you COULD simply follow the audio transcripts or the story on AO3, but there will be certain things missing from the narrative if you do.

What do we need to know about each character/this universe?

This is a post Accords world - that means that there will be heroes mentioned that are no longer heroes, including Peter.

Spider-Man never teamed up with Iron Man to take down Captain America - Tony Stark does NOT know who he is. All of Peter's tech is his own.

I have aged up the characters as some of the things they're going to be dealing with are more mature in nature as well as require a more experience hero. Peter is 25 come the story premiere and Harley is 26.

Just a note, though, she was born in 1990. So she's not quite a kid any more. And while she was perhaps a kid when things began, she certainly is only enough to know right from wrong now.

That doesn't mean that her story doesn't deserve to be told. And I'm going to try my best to tell it.

Just a little lovers spat. It's a reminder that we don't all always agree with each other's methods.

You're so sweet! We've just been busy prepping the best season for you guys that we can. I don't think anything is going to be able to top last season but, we'll certainly see.

I've been thinking about it ever since the beginning of December. Wanda's deceptively easy to understand but she's uniquely suffered a lot in a very short amount of time. Unlike with the other "Rouge Avengers", no one's been able to pinpoint where she is in hiding. She hasn't been seen since the loss of Vision and I don't really know why. But there's something about her that seems to be telling me that she has a story to be told.

There is no such thing as overlooking Clint Barton, not after knowing the guy. Unfortunately, he's not exactly easy to get in contact with and I think it may be against express warning of his legal counsel to come back on the show - a problem we're getting incredibly used to. But we'll certainly keep him under advisement.
