Daisuke was raised in a five person family with two sisters, one elder and one younger. For a time it was just him and his father being outnumbered by the women of his family until his father, Takeshi, came out and revealed herself as Takako. It came as a shock and surprise to the family that their father identified as a woman but they came to accept her and worked together to support her transition. Money grew tighter around the household when Takako changed jobs, Daisuke's mother took more shifts while his elder sister finished school and hooked a new a job while still living at home. Daisuke who had entered high school at the time took care of the house and his younger sister. Even with the financial strain and the difficulty of transitioning, the family grew stronger and closer together than ever. Despite the overwhelming support Takoko received from her family, Daisuke couldn't help but noticed that whenever they went shopping together, he would see her wistfully eyeing the boutique full of women's clothing. She would sigh and give a defeated smile to him, "Such cute clothes would never fit on me!" It was that moment that Daisuke felt compelled to do something about that. While he normally focused his free time swinging at baseballs, Daisuke put down his bat and started swinging a needle instead. At first it started with sewing a few simple clothes for his younger sister's dolls but then his skill evolved and he eventually worked his way to making a full-sized dress. Although far from mastering his sewing skills, the gesture was well-received and brought him closer to his parent. Between baseball, sewing, and taking care of his younger sister, Daisuke has made few friends outside said social circles during his first year in high school. His older family members chided him: "Enjoy what's left of your high school years and go make friends your own age!" After an aggressive but loving push from his family and having some of his responsibilities taken, Daisuke stepped down and took a smaller role in baseball to try out what other things his school had to offer. He still attends baseball club activities in the morning but he only plays occasionally for the team when they need a member.
