From a spoilt princess brat to a brave, young fighter. You get the point, and I love Yona for that. That night was such a horrifying sight for her, for a 16-year-old to see his father being murdered by the love of her life, i think the fuck not,  but that night was her turning point. It gave her nightmares and trauma, sure. And even though Hak was there to protect her, she refused to be a weak, damsel-in-distress, type of girl. It was such a concept, tbvfh. Instead she learned how to use archery to protect the only person she has left and that is Hak. Even to herself, she knew she was not fit to protect Hak. But she never gave up and seeing Hak hurt pained her. It was, as if, she was sorry that she could not protect her father that time, and now, to keep the only person close to her, she chose to fight. And from that simple “I will protect Hak,” it came into a development to “I will protect my family (HHB) and the people who needs help.” She was soooo considerate about the people around her. And while she developed her character into a mature woman, her friendliness to other people stayed. You know the character development where a girl was so innocent and then she turned into a complete bitch? Thank god, Yona didn’t turn out like that lmao.
