I know there is nothing I can do to make you change your feelings on this, so I'm just going to tell you that I'm here. *hugs*

Food is the only thing in my life I can control right now. I don't eat, and while two weeks ago it was because I couldn't afford it, now I'm  beginning to enjoy the hunger pangs. It's a feeling like I can take charge of something, instead of having my life just wash over me in any way it wants to. Each time I get hungry, and don't eat, is like a victory. It tells me I am stronger than I realise - I can ignore a basic human instinct. I have lost 6kg in a week. My clothes are looser. My rings slide around. I like it. I've been told I'm looking good, that Im doing great. They ask me my secret, and I lie. I tell them healthy eating. Exercise. I've been told I'm losing weight too fast. They don't realise that saying that is also a victory. It means I'm getting somewhere. I'm becoming beautiful. I have food. I went shopping. I did all that. And when I see it in the cupboard, my thought is always "I don't need you." I am stronger than that. They're calories that are just sitting there. I don't want them. I don't need them. I don't get dizzy any more. I can function on what I am doing. I wish those that are worried about me wouldn't. I'm not that important, there are plenty of other things, more important and bigger things, than me to worry about: work, kids, life. I really don't need to be worried about. I'm craving control in my life. I have none. I live with a friend and her family. I have an extremely ill grandmother. I have study. I have no income other than a payment from the government that doesn't cover my bills.

I am an Australian... and I'm genuinely worried over the US elections.
