So let's talk abouttttt...seekers and their optics!
Seekers are generally very uncanny to the average grounder bot and even other flight frames like Springer and Vortex. Seekers are very tight-knitted within their "subspecies" and especially within their trines and quartets and whatever other amount of seekers put together would be called. They have a lot off odd habits such as vocalizing without forming words to communicate, "speaking" with their wings, hissing, etc.
But the one thing that reportedly is the most freaky to the average Cybertronian is the optics of a seeker. Grounder optics appear as just one flat color, one normal shade without any difference unless a bot has two different colored optics. Seekers on the other hand, have what is called "pupillae". Pupillae (pupils) are an oddity of the seeker subspecies. Technically every bot has them, but seeker pupillae are visible.
Pupillae appear as dots in the optic with small plating surrounding it to make up the visible form. They appear as whatever the seeker's optic color is (red, orange, blue, the list goes on) though slightly darker. The plating can shift in reaction to light and darkness, as well as to emotions, to make the pupillae contract or widen. Most grounders say that the one thing they dislike about the visible pupillae on a seeker is that you can always know when a seeker is locked onto something.
Due to a seeker's need to focus on things around it while flying at high speeds they are created with very good tracking abilities in the optics. Not only can you tell when a seeker is staring at you because of the constricted pupillae (appears as small dots that track your every move), but the seeker often won't look away until they want to. That is what makes seekers so efficient and powerful. Once they see something, it becomes near impossible for them to lose it. Very few bots have been able to survive being hunted by a trine or pack of seekers.
Bad weather in America rn.
