hI! thanks for your patience — I'm working on trying to figure out something we can release in the main feed that will help alleviate some of this; we do continue to explain mechanics in-play as they come up, but I know it can be tough to adjust to listening to a new system, so we've started working on something we can release that should hopefully help, but it may take us some time to get together.

Alchemy—The study of potions and their effects. Alchemists use ingredients common and uncommon, botanical and mineral and biological, arcane and mundane. With specialized tools and techniques, a skilled practitioner can create potions with nearly any effect. Like any discipline of magic, however, alchemy is inherently unpredictable, and a potion is more than the sum of its parts—its ultimate effect might be entirely unexpected, by the alchemist or the potion’s user.

After a chance(?) meeting while traveling on the road south through Canorai, our second party of adventurers—the reformed criminal Canaan Kaal, the masked elf known to most only as Vespid, and the human alchemist Santri Talos—have found themselves in need of money and, as such, in need of work from anyone willing to pay.

The Harrowers— A coalition of monster hunters, with guild halls spread across the continent. Their stated mission is to preserve the peace of civil society and clear the way for settlers and farmers. Each guild hall has its own leadership and rules; some deal only with fellow Harrowers, while others post bounties publicly and act as a liaison between client and hunter. Whether for members or freelancers, Harrower contracts are usually not very lucrative—the guild prides itself on accepting contracts on behalf of the less fortunate who might not otherwise have recourse, and its mission is a moral one rather than a financial one.

Rag and Bone— A loosely organized guild of bounty-men, assassins, hunters, mercenaries, and hounds with posts across the continent. Though plenty of credible people offer work through Rag and Bone, the organization is known first and foremost as a liaison organization between anyone who needs a job done without their name attached, and anyone willing to do the dirty work for a share of the gold. The guild has a headquarters in most major settlements, where those who have been granted membership can always find work.
