After having a few days to contemplate what happened after the main event at NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day, I still cannot comprehend what is going on. As a long term fan, since way before their NXT days, it broke me. To me, it resembled when Seth Rollins turned heel on his Shield brothers and aligned himself with The Authority in 2014.

There is one good thing to come out of this... We are almost guaranteed some 5* matches, whether it is Cole vs O’Reilly, Cole vs Balor or even a triple threat between the three. Hell, I’d be so down for a fatal 4way between the Era boys, if that is where it is eventually headed. Or, depending on where Strong’s allegiance lies, maybe Cole & Strong vs Fish and O’Reilly, when Bobby comes back from injury.

There’s no way that this was to get Cole onto the main roster. Personally, I think he would be lost in the shuffle, unless he was to come up and align himself with AJ Styles.

Who knows what the future holds? I guess we will find out tomorrow night on NXT.

One thing is for sure... Adam Cole definitely shocked the system Sunday night.
