it should be long-ish— hard to say how long, but almost certainly over 10k :) it’s set in the real world, more or less, and it is not a future fic and (as of right now) no one suffers any injuries (subject to me changing my mind).

i have been thinking about it for a while but not so much writing it. no promises, but within 1-2 months i probably will have something posted

i just wanted to tell you how much i appreciate , enjoy, adore, love “the seas catches fire”. First work of them I read, one of the longest at that moment out of all. The way you described Carlos’s pain and suffering through all of those years.

The way you write, the way you described jannik’s comeback and clear desperation in second part, the way carlos did not believe him at first. The way he had to get with Sophia and the way Jannik clicked it so fast. The way you make us feel Jannik’s hope in the first half, how much it’s unusual to him to talk and he still does it for carlos even though it’s hard for him to speak to communicate he chooses he tries and that’s actually make it all spin. And again the way you described Carlos’s pain and and the fact that he still never regretted falling in love with Jannik, the way he said “it is” in the second chapter after sophia’s question. The way he said love accidentally during photo shoot in Rome, the way carlos was so angry at jannik on Olimpics, the way he felt being in control and over his feelings over jannik even if just for a day when he punched.

And the way you described their kisses, especially first one, especially.

I do not think I would be ever over this work and I don’t regret it.

You made me fell in love with them and even more you made me fell in love with my own sport I played for 11 years at that point and rarely enjoyed. I believe I can say you influenced my life though this and maybe I would not be the person I am without this work.

I just wanted to say thank you.

Oh and one last thing, the tag you put on ao3 - “everything is about tennis except for tennis - which is love”. The way you describe the game… i never felt it and if i ever had i don’t remeber feeling it before reading this work. Thanks you
