I'm gonna be real. Self love (and care) are so important, but I'm tired of trying to self love and care myself into healing. As much as individual work is necessary for recovery, it doesn't replace the need to also have communal love and care. The reason I'm like this in the first place is because of the lack of love and care on others' parts who were supposed to give that to me when I was young. You can go to therapy, you can reparent yourself, you can learn to be comfortable with yourself when you're alone. But fuck!!! None of us are supposed to be this isolated. The human mind is not meant to he this solitary. I don't think it's possible to heal unilaterally. Something something you can't heal wounds from abuse and trust issues and abandonment without having connections with others that reteach your brain what safety in others feels like.
