His eyes fell to his nails as he looked them over for a moment and then smirked. She wasn't one to give up, but he found that more annoying than interesting.
"Proper parents? No god could ever be a proper parent; even when we plan for offspring, something messes up the upbringing… So count yourself lucky."

Hades wasn't certain of what he wanted; many times he let himself desire, and it cost him more than it was worth. His head turns back to settle on the woman, and he smiles only enough to seem kind.
"You're the first person in a long time to even find interest in my presence; most shun me as soon as they realize who I am. So, forgive me if I am curious about this situation but still so uncertain."
Hades rolled his eyes as if she knew the truth of the matter. "You're right, as if actual decent people, unlike... well, all other gods, didn't think of ways to stop such things from happening." He tuts with his teeth before smirking so brightly. She had no idea the lengths he had gone to keep himself from spawning more children than he desired.
"Well, you know, why don't you just take this 'girl' and go... and never come back at all? Something tells me you don't get rid so easily, though."
"I hear celibacy and castration typically work," She offers sarcastically before she straightens out her jacket, a sarcastic sweet smile greeting her lips.
"Well, you just said I couldn't. Either I can or I can't. And I will take the liberty to add that I have no desire to ever be back here again. I'd sooner gargle glass."
"Poor child, it must be difficult to stand before a man who cares so little..." Hades wasn't a fan of this cruelty any longer; he didn't want to play the game, but she was forcing his hand. A faint smile came to him, such a baiter as he tried to be reasonable. "Well, I'd stay and let myself be harassed a moment longer... but you have someone to save, right?" He smirks, turning to leave from whence he came.
"I do not care about other gods; that should be clear to all." Hades tells the girl before a smirk appears on him. "You can't call this a reunion if I wasn't even there to know of your conception." He mocks before stepping back from the girl at her bitter take.
"Touché, though, I'll have to say you can try to take whoever you want from here...but you can't even if we are related. Once dead, people can't go back to the living realm."
"Oooo, so clever. You should write a book," She shoots back, "And not to be conservative but maybe you should anticipate that an activity that commonly results in reproduction could result in- let me check my notes..." She says sarcastically, "Oh, right, children!"
"Yeah, well, I'm more than capable of learning lessons on my own like I have been since I was six so I'm not concerned about that. But, hey, if it turns out you're wrong I'll do us both a solid and not come back to rub it in your face, huh?"

"Friends," she giggles at his response. "We're acquainted now but I hope we can become friends. I've never had a real friend before. Not one that understands me. No one tells you how lonely immortality is. It would be nice to have someone to share it with. Maybe it will feel less empty."
Hades understands, but his eyes move away from the woman, knowing he's such a terrible person to be compared to. "Immortality can be a gift and a curse, and connections can be made, but..." How did he tell someone so kind that he wasn't a person that formed bonds with people well? That his whole existence was to be alone with his work. "I'm not certain if you will want me as a friend for long."

Hades didn't care for the retort; he knew well what she might be playing at. "Why are you here?" He went ahead and asked her with the resolve. He steps towards the woman with a sharp glare.

Hades smiles faintly at her confidence; she was a powerful thing, though she seems very new to her immortality and true nature. "So modest.." He comments at first before noting the small creature running at their feet. "A reptile after my own heart." The man says watching the chaos and the flames of the creatures antics. His eyes focus on the small pyrokinetic salamander.
"Hm, is that so?" It takes him a moment to take his eyes off the trees before he sets his focus on the woman. "I wasn't much company last time; coming unwarranted is unlike me. My foresight was hindered by, well, you."
"Is that your way of saying I drive you to distraction?" she asks with a playful smile. "You may think you were unhelpful, but you weren't. It turns out I needed need solutions, I needed support and you gave it, and look where it's brought us? We're here together now." There is a softness in her eyes as she looks at him, words she wants to say but fears they may be spoken prematurely so she keeps them close to her heart.
