a S M I L E  can change the world, or at least that is the belief you cling to with calloused hands. instead of a joke book you hold tight to a rifle and it feels heavy and foreign in your arms, once glittering eyes now hawk eyed to spot any would be walker, but the apocalypse doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. you spend nights doing stand up in the dirt for a handful of survivors, desperate to make anyone laugh, to bring joy back to weary faces. a notebook scratched and scribbled with routines is what keeps you going and you pour your heavy soul into those lined pages. one day someone will understand why it is so valuable to tell a bad joke.

the world used to fall at your feet and now it’s your turn to beg on your knees. expensive taste doesn’t suit anyone in the W I L D and you are more house cat than feral beast. still the easiest route to survival is to adapt and you’ve been playing a role for years, mask after mask hiding that pretty face. they still recognize you, a jagged piece of a past that used to be so simple. perhaps they keep you around as a reminder, a TOTEM to what they’ve lost. you’ve always been used as a symbol for others and if it keeps you alive now there’s no reason to protest, no reason to change.

everything has always ended in ash and explosions, all caused in the end by your own hands. for your entire life nothing has ever gone to plan, all ruined somehow by your expectations they would be. perhaps your whole life has been one long self fulfilling prophecy. after an endless stream of epic failure ( lost jobs, lost loves, everything lost ) you were finally ready to start over again when everything else ended. and after, after it all you tried your best to be helpful, useful to those trying to survive around you but again everything you touched turn to heartache and disaster. now you lie in wait in the castle for the other shoe to drop, things have been safe and good for far longer than you are used to and both fear and hope keep you moving through each day.

a dishonourable discharge. that’s what you were. you started on the path of pride and glory, but your selfish actions brought you and your team down, using others to benefit yourself. back in society, you fell in with the mob, not able to pull yourself back up to the standard you were before, the war hero, the person your mother was proud of– no, now you are the shame of the family you don’t see anymore. when the world fell, it was a chance for you to sweep that under the rug and use what skills you had to get into wolfenstein. now sitting pretty in a commanders position, there are few that know the real reasons you were expelled from the military, and you pray like fuck that they’ll never find out.

you spent your entire life trying to be something better, something different  from what you were born. your mother, single and raising you the best she could, along with your older sister, threw you into a life you weren’t meant to know at such a young age. filled it violence, torment and misery, but every day you woke, every day you dressed, making sure that while your world around you wasn’t perfect, you could make yourself so. when your mother died and you and your young sister fled, changing names and area codes, you made sure to make yourself the person you always wanted. PERFECT in all possible ways you could control. when the world around you crumbled, you held strong, hating the fact that once again you’d lost control of your life and had to rely on your sister to save you, but you didn’t let that show. now that you’ve been here for a while, you try your best to control what you can, ignoring what you can’t. you won’t let anyone view you as broken, not even yourself.

life wasn’t easy for you. you had a rough upbringing after the loss of your mother at a young age, your father not the kindest person on earth. Still, you didn’t let it define you. you spent your teenage years under the watch of your aunt, a free spirit and a woman who’d never fail you. your interest? the sky. You were determined to make it up there one day and you did. The airforce called to you. you worked your butt off, your gender an issue in a world dominated by men and toxic masculinity. they didn’t appreciate the successes of you and your fellow woman, regardless of what they were. You pushed yourself, becoming an amazing pilot and aircraft engineer, and leaving those who doubted you in your dust. you were one of the few that worked with the General to establish Wolfenstein, and you were proud of it. You literally flew people here, making countless visits to designated places to collect survivors. you were literally their saviour but now? you don’t agree with the council and you are sure of corruption. you play your part, knowing that you had a great deal to lose if caught going against them. but– you’re here and while there is still breath in your body you will try and fight for equality within wolfenstein.

you’ve always been the joker, the one who had a flare for theatrics. from a young age, you strive to be the centre of attention and unfortunately, your strict parents didn’t approve of it. you were sent to military schools, pressured to follow in your fathers footsteps and you did– until your own path, your lust for dramatics and jovial attitude got you dishonourably discharged.  It wasn’t all your fault, your squadron commander was the one who made the call that got you all discharged. what was your fault? the fact that you’d had too many strikes for the SEAL’s to even warrant wanting to take you back, even for desk duties. you followed the path of your disgraced squadron leader, following them here. You’re not exactly on the General’s good side, but you provide a comedic outlook on life, and that’s exactly what the world needs these days.
