I don't mean to be a Downer, but could I submit more than one drawing(but not too many!) of my creature, to illustrate my scary story, for Uncle Jack's Halloween Art Contest?
Donât worry, youâre not being a Downer ! And, well if youâre illustrating your story, then yes you can put more than one drawing in it!
Also, while Iâm at it, Iâm going to clarify other things in case other people also have questions:
Can be just text, but it can Also have parts of it illustrated ( illustrations for the story can be more than one );
Can be One illustration that tells a story;
Only one entry ( again, if itâs written but with parts illustrated thatâs fine, because the illustrated bits are part of it )
Can be a drawing with written information about said creature, such as why it is feared, what it does;
Alternatively, if youâre more comfortable writing, then it can be a description of said creature, again with written information about it;
Only one entry ( but said entry can have more than one creature, maximum TWO, IF theyâre in some way linked ( linked by background, or another reason, as long as you specify which ))
A possible question, âBut when youâre entering with a story arenât you at the same time making a creature?â
Not necessarily, you can make a scary story without creatures, this is one of the differences between written story and written creature entries. Another difference is that you donât have to tell a whole big story about creatures, in the same way in a story you donât have to tell about the whole story of the creature that appears in it, if it has a creature ( I mean, you can if you want to )
