Hate the "debate" around bl and yaoi in particular Existense of bad or edgy works in any other genre doesn't cause these "debates" on if the genre as a whole should exist, but only bacause this one is viewed as "female oriented" (which in some cases isn't wrong, but the question is why is it suddenly a bad thing) and was most videly written by women (or not cis-men at least) there suddenly needs to be a question is anyone can write or read it And the best works, most influential, most interesting and serious get overlooked completely, though if you read any of them you would never ask this And there's notheing wrong with lighter stories too, and with graphic ones too (why is it only concern in this particular case when any other type of graphic content can exist and even get aknowledgment for other aspects then it's deserved(yes i look at you every major tvseries with onscreen sexual content, and you literature, and you games and you whatever) It's ridiculous to look at one type of relationship depicted and state that it alone is problematic, when the very same tropes are used for any other type of relationship too (any classics written "for women" have violence and casual horror and awful treatment of mcs at levels few "bl's with a warning" can achieve, ask your older female relatives what they read in their teens) Read your favourite works and don't feel ashamed for liking stories about people written by people It's ridiculous what there needs to be the "genre" defined by that characters it features in what relationships, but that's the world we live in, it sadly had to be created as it is also as a result of mysoginy as well as 50 other stupid circumstances, but it doesn't make the works automatically bad No one tells you to stop reading drama, thriller, mystery of fantasy cause it has violence in it or unconventional dynamics or tropes or anything really There are terrible works in any genre, but hey, you can skip anything you don't want to read or watch, without raising a crusade to destroy the authors or works, especially in today's world full of censorship and actual violence towards lgbtqa+ folks and dictatorships and everything else really instead it's better to learn what you actually like and find suitable works through research and community, and this is for any genre really And if you think it's more important to uplift authors writing about their own authentic experience - when do just that - uplift these works, instead of atacking other works and authors - give reviews, add descriptions, promote them to community, create whatever suitable fanworks, make your own stories on your experience - if you just complain how it's unfair other works exist when you're doing nothing but harm

Monster is a very good show I even think it can be recommended as an entry point for some viewers, it's the closest you can get to live action shows But i know i would've been so mad if i was watching it while it actually aired, and especially at this ending It's very good, the cast is varied and interesting and the plot is entertaining but i just know i would be so mad still which is also a sign the story is good cause it makes you care enough to get mad anyway, i just think our guys should chill, some healthy amount of not giving a f would've helped them immenselly and resulted in way less casualties, what's why it's important to have days off and learn how to rest properly, remember this

Negative Positive Angler is beautiful and you should watch it Certainly one of my favourites in this drama / slice of life genre All of the characters are amazing, so much attention to atmosphere and how emotions are portrayed, it's realistic, it's funny and it's devastatingly sad and it has weirdest use of 3d fish sprites Also you will learn stuff about fishing, no matter if you want it or not Absolutely love how characters are written and portrayed, gorgeous backgrounds, great use of soundtrack (it even has this theme changing into another theme with scene progression stuff, love this, that's the stuff usually used in videogames) Would read/watch 50+ seasons of them all just going about their lives, that's how good slice of life has to make you feel

just watched Here U Are teaser and thought about how it feels weird that they speak japanese just to scroll down to comments and see a bunch of people commenting “They look homemade and they taste homemade, but this home is a factory.” with various addition and at first i thought it was some reference i don't get cause i haven't finished reading the story and there were more cookie comments, one weirder than the other and i thought i've missed some big cultural event or got overworked to the point of going insane but it was just a bug showing me comments from how it's made chocolate chip cookie video But there could be a phrase in the story just as unhinged and iconic as this that i wouldn't know cause i hadn't finished reading it Everything can be a symbol or something i guess

Just found out Act II season 2 is out now the chances of getting back into DnA obsession have skyrocked i'm going to get so annoying because it's peak story with almost nonexisting fanbase where i live there's no baseball here either so idk how to even start this conversation Haikyuu was a blessing both because it was extremely good and because volleyball is a very popular sport worldwide, DnA is so niche compared to this

10 dance adaptation has commited too many crimes, though there are several scenes that are still very very good, but in general it's still going into adaptation jail i mean it's good it exists, we need more queer stories adaptations, but pacing sucks and even though i've only read several manga chapters, there were details i liked at the moment that are just not a thing in the movie which makes me wonder what else was cut out Also i probably watched a few too many ballroom competitions to enjoy how they're shown in the movie, i understand it's difficult to show high dificulty stuff like sports but man can't a person dream? Also everything looks a bit awkward in general, not a terrible movie, but i just wish more queer stories were treated more seriously, i can't really recommend it if i don't like it all that much no hate though, and i still think there are plenty people who might like it way more, that's just an opinion

Can't promise i'll finish the summer hikaru died anime this time, because it's just reminds me emotions suck and having emotions sucks and that i, just like other people, have emotions, which sucks Because it's a good story and good horror and a good horror that hits too close most of the times and i love that anime launched it into mainstream, but it scares me hitting mainstream means there's more people completelly missing some of its aspects, which kinda adds another meta layer to its horror i guess? is it a good thing or bad thing for a horror?

No matter what possible reason they might have for James and Sherlock becoming enemies and separating in Young Sherlock version of the universe, i need you guys to think about James finding out about Watson's writing about Sherlock, because there's no way this James would be normal about this

So, surprisingly Gankutsuou is a good and accurate adaptation, even though it deviates a lot from the book and basically changes the whole course of the narrative at some point, but it still feels accurate, characters still feel accurate to how they could be if some events went very differently, and the core is still there Not a thing to replace the book, but some sort of alternative route where everything was somehow even worse than in the book + it's very weird and the style is just as beautiful as it is unusual Not a fan of so many changes to Eugenie, cause she's a book icon, but i don't hate her in the show either; Big fan of Peppo, show's icon; Any changes that make Valentine suffer less are welcome too Changes are a mixed bag, but it depends on personal perferences i guess, and the story works on it's own and as an adaptation quite well Also it's very weird which is an advantage really, watch cool sligtly weird shows, discover new things, and this one is pretty unique Edmon Dantes would love giant robots and spaceships in the book too, so this one is spot on This certainly was a formative media and/or nightmare fuel for some people growing up in 2004

Never liked the trope of character stating some gloomy "love is suffering / love is painful" But i sure do believe it then Franz states this in Gankutsuou, like, yeah, in your case it is buddy, no people envy you buddy Like it sure is suffering to have a hopeless crush on the universe stupidest and most reckless guy, even if he can be entertaining at times and is not a bad person overall Should've moved in with your fiance's new family buddy, they seem to like you And let the said crush handle things, he's universe most special idiot, he won't be affected by anything, protected by sheer luck, stupidity, plot armor and the fact people just like him for how stupid he is

Love how James just wormed his way into the family through joining them in every awkward encounter, the guy knows too much to be kicked out at this point (and i don't think he really minds this, probably exactly where he wants to be)

More about Young Sherlock I like looking at this version and getting the strongest "yeah, this one will really benefit from meeting Watson, cause he sure needs someone more stable" Especially because there are other very interesting relationships he has in the series, not really existing in canon (new thing) and canon negative traits developing that are only about to get to the degree they are in canon, when the accumulation of all this leads to him meeting Watson (good old thing) Like, yeah, i can see that

Every time i think i won't be affected by another sherlock adaptation and would be able to just chill it turns out to be a new obsession reminding me of old times when i had feelings and ambitions and loved detective stories, come on At this point sherlock stories should be most cliche and fully absorbed by popular culture, but somehow it's still inspiring new versions

Yeah, as a working adult i do think it would be nice to see my previous employer company go bankrupt at a location i moved in to start a farm, all becuse i'm just so cool and so succesfull at farming and local community adores me for bringing everyone random stuff, i get you, Stardew Valley farmers
