At the shore of Slowdive Bay, grocery store owner Howard rescues Yilly who ventures into the sea, having just broken up with her partner. Thence she spends her days waiting for the rare marine phenomenon called “sea sparkle.” Days turn into weeks and then months for these two strangers, each with their own pasts, trapped in an indefinite wait. Eventually, they will have to decide on a life ahead, and whether to let go of the past.

《殘棄》(2019)

I inspired from one of my favourite Japanese photographer - Ninamika (蜷川 実花). I tried to shoot a double exposure with two type of flower in fresh, beautiful, and was discarded, ragged. To make a contrast in the meaning, the discarded and ragged flower I got from flower market then shot in the studio. The second layer is 4 fresh flowers I bought. Actually there a lot of beautiful flower but just a little damaged was discarded out of the store in flower market, so I want to shot them in a beautiful frame.

The burning sun, a disturbing city with busy people. To hide yourself and take a nap to be true to your self at home. The truth is obscure, we were asked for the false sense of truth in living, but the innermost myself thirsted for a cozy mirage.

乾涸 desert (2018)

The idea comes from the desert. As I saw a photo of the desert, I found that the sands look like a human body shape with a creative perspective. So, I did a research of desert photo then inspired me to use the human body to explore the shape and forms and Aesthetics of human and nature. I shoot in the studio with studio lighting and focus on the legs and hands to shoot the interlocking for a desert idea. I want the audience to associate desert with a human body to become a beautiful picture, and sometime our body would be a “picture”.

cube (2018)

I lived Lai King Estate over 15 years. Lai King Estate is one of the “old long rectangle” building styles of Hong Kong public housings. An “old long rectangle” building style is about the long rectangle cube looking building built at a long time ago even the design, outlook, housing size is different.

I took the photos for the place I grow up because I want to show how Hong Kong people’s living in the “rectangle cube”, around 200ft each flat. It is difficult to take the photo in each flat to record the resident’s living. I took the windows of the building to show their living because I strongly understand the window would like to show how’s one family living through their decoration, clothes dry in the sun outside the windows, the plant grows, or the backside of the air-conditioner. All things and living are different even they all live in same feet small cube in one building. So, I took a different scale window to talk about how they livings in the small cube with some comparative with other flats and windows, or more than one to show a whole building.
