Honestly, he hadn’t been paying attention to much of anything until the woman decided to address him; he was still relatively new to Team Rocket headquarters, after all, and everything was still rather unfamiliar. It was nothing like what he had grown accustomed to experiencing back in Plasma, anyways. In time, the Gardevoir supposed he would manage to settle in somehow, but at the moment, he was still easily distracted by all of the new sights and sounds around him.

The t-word, though. The t-word was more than enough to get his attention rather quickly.

Clair couldn't contain her scream when she heard the Pokemon's voice inside of her head. The voice was somewhat deep, at least deep enough to distinguish it from a female. And of course, he was obviously a Psychic type Pokemon, and a very strong looking one at that. But still, it creeped Clair the fuck out. As soon as the scream left her voice, Clair's small hands clasped against her mouth, her eyes wide.

She stood there, a bit frozen with shock. This is why she wasn't a Psychic master. "C-Cool."

Sylvia had actually hoped her interaction with paperwork would drop when she returned to headquarters. But instead, here she was pecking away through a stack of her sheets while barely paying attention to where she was going in the hallways.

She almost bumped into someone that way.

Almost.

"I’m sorry…" Her eyes lifted up from the pile for the first time, her pointer finger barely holding her place, and lit upon the lost one. Clair was a member now, was she? By this point, Sylvia had stopped being surprised by the collection of gym leaders and elites wandering their halls. But she did take a moment to be starstruck—just a moment. There was just something about the strong ladies… you understand.

"I’m sorry, where are my manners. You’re Clair, correct?" Of course she was correct—her memory was impeccable. This was just pleasantry. "May I assist you? You seem lost."

-- - Clair said nothing as the woman bumped into her. It happens. She could imagine grunts going bezerk over something so minor as that, but that wasn't Clair. She had a temper, but nothing like that. The woman who had bumped into her was in mid sentence when she stopped for some reason, her eyes fixated on Clair. Did she have something in her teeth? Was her hair a mess? The Dragon heiress ran her tongue across her teeth with her mouth closed, to make sure she didn't make a fool out of herself, and her hair seemed fine, so what could it be? Oh. Right. She was supposed to be in Blackthorn Gym battling away trainers, not in Team Rocket, a group of misfits she once battled herself. Ironic how things work out, huh? "Yeah, I'm Clair. Do you know where I can get some food? I haven't eaten since I got here and this place is nothing short of a maze. Mind helping?"
