Being homesick is really hard when home is a person, not a place

I don’t believe in soulmates. I believe you can fall in love with someone who isn’t perfect for you. I believe you can stay in love with them. I believe you can fall in love with the wrong person, and stay in love with them too. I believe you can fall in love with the most idyllic person you’ve ever met, someone you would never trade. But I believe you could’ve fallen for somebody else. I don’t believe in soul mates, I just believe in chance.

I think we all need to make peace with the fact that we are truly, indisputably, horribly alone in this life

The sad truth is, I don’t even know who I am

I’m so sick of trying to find the good in the world

I really just want to go to sleep and wake up when life is more doable. When I don’t feel the threat of violence, racism, war, prejudice. When heartbreak is just a bad dream. When I don’t fear the thoughts in my own head. When everything looks just a little bit brighter.
