“Huh?” She’s a little startled at first, but she is quick to understand what’s really happened. Which might be considered a little bit of an odd sight, but for someone like her, she just presumes this is normal. Even if it maybe ruins the illusion a little bit, but hey, she’d been silly to think the solution would’ve been something like…sleeping upside down, you know, like a bat. That’d be like Ahiru saying she’d filled up a tub with water to sleep in. That’s silly! She’s never done that. Not even once! ( Okay, maybe at least once. Anyways ). “That’s a pretty handy solution. That must make things much easier, like turnin’ things on and off, right?” …That’s not a rude way of putting it, is it?

“M-Mhm, that’s my name!” Admittedly, she’s not entirely sure where that knowledge came from, but child is at least aware of how on the nose her name is ( not one that she chose for herself, but she’d probably never be able to decide what she’d want to call herself if things had been any different, so she can’t say she exactly has complaints ). “I think, uhm, my parents thought t’was cute name…? I dunno if they knew what it meant.” Lie does not slip from your tongue so easily, but it’s much more easy to fabricate a story than actually explain the truth. Besides, she has enough of a grasp on German to know that at least for nicknames, animal names weren’t unusual, so it’s not like her story has no basis! …Just a lack of actual parents. She doesn’t linger on that for too long, lips quirk upwards in a good natured grin. “Really? I mean, I thought your name seemed real pretty, but that’s kinda cool though…think it’s fun we’ve got that in common.”

▖ ❝ Yup, it does make sleeping way easier. I tried sleeping upside down once but surprisingly I woke up all dizzy. ❞ Perhaps lack of habit but her body although weird didn’t seem initially designed to do that. Pretty weird. Maybe although she could transform into a bat she didn’t share instincts and all that stuff? Well, she was human at the end of the day. 

❝ It is a cute name... Can you turn into a duck? That could be a reason. ❞ A rather innocent question and, honestly, not that crazy for her standards. I mean, literally every single person she could meet while walking downtown back home had some kind of superpower, it was normal to expect.  ❝ ... Or perhaps you have bright yellow hair, like a duck’s feathers... That’s a pretty weird thing to say, sorry. What color is your hair? ❞   The hair reasoning seemed more likely and, honestly, she would have loved to confirm that herself but, well... you can’t sense colors through echolocation, no sound involved in colors. 

▖ ❝ Watch out! ❞   A leg thrusted forward fiercely as she kicked away the beast before its attempt to lunge towards the other party failed. Good thing she was still as acrobatic, without her  transformation quirk she was kinda heavily nerfed. In fact, she didn’t know if she could do something other than keep this thing at bay if it wasn’t too fast. 

▖ Darkness surrounded both of them, wrapping the duo like a blanket yet making it harder to navigate through the irregular topography of the forest... At least for someone who used their eyes to locate themselves in space. Koko strolled around like a casual walk in the park while the other party followed her behind, constantly keeping her palm on her back. Slimes of darkness would probably be a pain to find in that part of Blackwood if they didn’t have a literal walking radar.

“I mean— oh. You really understand…?” Voice is a little tentative nonetheless, though relaxes with the reassurance she is given ( you’re still taking this as a lesson to be more careful with your words though ). Smile comes a little more easily as she hangs onto the words she speaks, curious eyes watching. Ahiru has to bite back the first question that comes to mind— wasn’t she teased for crying like that? Elder girl must be really strong, child thinks, some quality of admiration to it. Instead what she utters is a soft ouch, holding her face like she can sense some kind of phantom pains. She’s glad the topic is one she seems to be able to handle with a smile on her face. Again, there’s only admiration here.

She can’t help but let out a small giggle of her own when the other speaks, a small chittering that rings in her chest softly as she watches the slight motion of ears with curiosity. “But you must’ve figured out somethin’, right? Otherwise you’d be sleepy all the time.” Ahiru can emphasize quite well, though, getting used to a human body had been both natural and unnatural all the same…though being a restless sleeper is entirely unrelated to that. 

▖ ❝ Yeah... just don’t sleep sideways. Though... ❞ Her bat ears seemed to disappear for a moment, yet, in reality, they just transformed back into regular human ears. To avoid scaring the younger one, a finger gracefully displaced a bit of her hair to show her that she didn’t just vanish her earing to the void.  ❝ Most of the time I just do this.  ❞ Of course they went back to ‘normal’ after that showing, her strands of hair flying slightly as the huge ears grew back and dragged some air mass with them on their way to the top of her head.

▖As much as she was enjoying her meatballs, something seemed off... Like... this unnerving feeling of something staring at her. Something like an unknown guy three meters away from her southwards. Her fork ringed as she placed it down, just aside her plate. Her head turned around slowly, almost like an owl who found something worth of its attention. 

▖She had been chilling at that bench of Pearl Park for like twenty five minutes already, hadn’t she? Sporting a tracksuit and a lightly exhausted countenance, she had been staring at this young man have the time of his live photographing some of the landscape the trees offered. What a nice hobby though, her best friend was a hobbyist too and always seemed to preach about the “benefits of connecting with the environment around you that photography gives you” or something like that. Maybe she could like... record the sounds of nature? 

▖ ❝ I guess I’m not the only one curious enough, am I? ❞ Her voice resounded amidst the darkness that wrapped the entrance of her appartment complex. Besides the places where a public light could illuminate, a pitch black void seemed to be the only thing greeting someone that ventured into the night. Not that it looked any different to her. What was this man doing there, she wondered while quietly sitting on the marble stairs that would pave the way towards her housing. 

Oh, that was her alright. Inuyasha regards the stranger carefully, openly suspicious. Just what was she? If it weren’t for the overpowering smell of bat, he’d assume she was just a regular girl dressed up as a monster.  “So you’re Koumori,” he begins, voice gruff because honestly there wasn’t much thought put into presentation. “I’m movin’ in. I’m staying in Kagome’s room. If you got a problem with that—-well, we’re just gonna have to work it out.” he crosses his arms, offering her a basket of pastries and freshly cut flowers.”'Cuz I’m not takin’ no for an answer.” It was probably a good thing Kagome wasn’t here to run damage control; his face would be nailed to the floor already. He sticks his nose up, one eye focused on the other’s impending response.

▖ Koko stared at the other for a moment... Well, stared. She couldn’t stare anyone, technically. Her face remained in their direction for a moment would be more appropiate. The young woman was the vivid representation of a sunday mood. Her hair was a slight mess, she was wearing slippers, carrying some bags from a store near the appartments and was about to open the front door too.

❝ Oh, yeah. Kagome did mention you I remember. You’re like... her boyfriend, right? ❞ Her focus shifted from this person’s frame to the basket resting on the ground, clearly a kind of offering for her. How outdated. Yet the moment she leaned towards it, a sweet, beautiful, enchanting smell reached out her nose. Koumori’s ears perked and a smile that could have passed as creepy or cute given her fangs shone  shamelessly on her countenance. Pastries. Oh, boy.  ❝ Oho~ You may talk like that but she didn’t tell me you were such a detailist~  ❞ If she had her tail it would probably be wagging franctically by now.

Koko pondered for a second as she placed her index finger upon her chin. Did she really have the time to ponder on such trivial stuff? Well, it was a sunday after all, she didn’t have that much to do besides training and all that jazz. Still, the ultrasound hero made her choice rather sooner than later.
