24/06 - A decent Sunday. Started off with a morning of archery, only shooting junior nationals rn (despite being 18 lol) but I want to get my own bow after exams. Parents went to a car-boot sale and got me a snazzy antique microscope. Spent this afternoon watching England play Panama (great game 👌), and revising for my last exam tomorrow (FP2). One more day and I'm free!

I’m back
I’ve been inactive, probably for a good 1.5-2 months. Being new to tumblr before exams, and pressed for time due to the amount of work I had to do over the exam period, I chose to let this blog fall inactive. With my last exam this Monday, I need not spend every waking moment doing past papers. I intend to return to this blog and be active over the coming summer.
Since I’ve essentially finished my A-levels, this won’t be much of a study blog, more of just a general blog for myself. I plan to study a few things over summer to get ready for uni and keep myself busy, and I’ll post about this, but I also want to post about everything else going on in my life, and I hope people are fine with that. Anyways, the plan right now is to post daily, though some days may be less interesting than others (today for example, I’ve literally worked at my job for 9 hours, the most exciting part was a white chocolate hot chocolate). My hope is that this will keep me from wasting the next 3 months of summer. I can’t wait.
Sorry for much inactivity
This is the end game, 5 exams down and not even half way through. For the past month I’ve been revising all the time, and haven’t had time or motivation to post it here (plus I didn’t want my studyblr to me 30 pictures of maths past papers). I do intend to pick up my blog, perhaps as more than just a studyblr, after exams finish.
To everyone else doing exams right now, you’re doing a great job, keep it up!
random things i’ve learnt during this school year
1. nobody is infallible - your parents, teachers, people you look up too - sometimes they can be wrong so don’t be afraid to think critically and disagree with them
2. five minutes of doing something productive is surely better than none
3. but its also not the end of the world when you sometimes don’t do anything productive
4. please, don’t let yourself burn out - r e s t
5. its easy to understimate the power of a good night sleep when youre doing something interesting in the evening. but try to be kind to future yourself and go to sleep earlier, it can make a huge difference
6. remember that in the night your problems can seem so much worse than they really are. dont think about them while in bed but instead say to yourself that you’ll come back to them the next day
7. try to always carry water, wherever you go
8. all of those intimidating, serious, formal, higher in dominance hierarchy people are human and not perfect! they’ve all cried, laughed, stressed, made silly or big mistakes and embarassed themselves at some point
9. you don’t need pretty notes at all to study well. sometimes (or even often) you have very limited time and there are better things to do than to write something slowly and neatly
10. help others at school if you can! be kind and compassionate! all students have different problems but we’re all in this together, let’s try to make each others’ lifes a bit easier and nicer

18/04 - day 9 of my 100 days of productivity
I’ve been a bit lazy recently, I got back from holiday and was told I had to hand in my computing coursework the very next day, which was stressful to say the least. Anyway, today was a great day, got lots of work done at school (my notes from Easter have put me miles ahead 😅) and now I’m struggling through a mechanics paper.
500 Followers! OMG!
I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while! I spent the end of Easter on holiday without internet, and have since been kinda busy. That’s why I was soo surprised and amazed to see that I’ve hit 500 (+1) followers! I initially made this studyblr on new year’s just to document my year and try and encourage myself to study more, I never anticipated getting more than a few followers. Thank you everyone!
What’s better than a deadline in four weeks?
A deadline you thought was in four weeks, and was supposed to be in four weeks, but someone in leadership decided should be tomorrow. So much for cramming for my inorganic chem mock tomorrow, computing coursework it is :/

11/04 - Day 8 of my 100 days of productivity
The weather was a bit depressing today, but that didn’t stop me getting work done (although I did oversleep a bit). Revised continuous distribution functions in the morning, had a driving lesson, then cranked out a load more astrophysics notes (I’m determined to finish the topic by time I go back). Tomorrow I’m going up north to see family, so I ought to pack my textbooks now.

10/04 - Day 7 of my 100 days of productivity
Today was much better than the last couple. I woke up early, had breakfast, and set to work according to the timetable is written myself last night. Firstly I made some physics notes, I’m really starting to get a lot of the topics for A2 now. Then I did some chemistry questions a d worked on my computing coursework, before finishing with more maths. Now I’m gonna tidy my room a bit more and relax.
5hr 30min work, 5 cups of tea

09/04 - Day 6 of my 100 days of productivity
Today was a bit of a struggle to get motivated. The biggest thing right now is my computing coursework, Its so tedious 😞 Nonetheless I got an M2 paper done this morning (early as well, I think I finished it before my family had even woken up 😅). Then I revised resonance and now I get it a lot more. After that I was hit with a big lack of motivation, and kinda just sat there for an hour. Eventually I managed to tidy my room somewhat, I put a before/after above. I’m going to make sure I get sleep and eat breakfast tomorrow, I want to get work done!
06/04 - day 5 of my 100 days of productivity
It was definitely a good decision to take a break yesterday. I woke up early today, had a shower and set to work. Firstly I revised pressure equilibrium, then worked on my computing coursework. After lunch I taught myself the hertzsprung-russell diagram, did half a maths past paper, then did a bit more computing. A good day, with great weather too.

I decided to take a break today, I can’t be working all day every day and remain sane (though I do try) That being said, I revised a bit of statistics and chemistry, before going to see ‘Ready player one’ which was an amazing film that I’d recommend. Right now I’m about to read a bit of Simon scarrow, a great author for historical fiction.
04/04 - day 4 of my 100 days of productivity
Today was productive, I started off slow, just practicing some circular motion questions, then reading through my chemistry specification to see what I need to go over. Then I had a driving lesson, and afterwards made notes on magnitude. I also booked my driving theory test today, so that’s cool 🙂
