some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.
I’m making a small crossover between Camp Camp and Sprite Fright (a great short film made by Blender Studio). The plot of Sprite Fright is that a group of teenagers are camping in the forest for a school assignment when they discover the Sprites, little mushroom creatures who take care of the forest. Highly recommend watching it if you like Camp Camp as it fits the theme of “I thought this was for kids but it’s not.”
The main girl, Ellie, reminds me so much of David. She is a nature lover surrounded by people who couldn’t care less about it. It only makes sense for David to be Ellie.
I’m still debating on who the other characters should be. Would appreciate any input!

I feel like some people don’t consider how funny it would be for transfem!Cody to still be a Drama Brother. I only ever see Cody not be a Drama Brother at all or she comes out after the band disbands. Wasted opportunity
Total Drama All Stars AU where the entire plot is everyone being confused by Heather and Cody’s friendship.
Since World Tour, Heather and Cody have been friends, remaining in contact with each other, though keeping it on the down low from the others since it’s likely they wouldn’t think too highly of it.
The reason they have remained friends is because of the fact that Cody doesn’t expect Heather to change herself. Asking Heather to not be competitive and manipulative is like asking a fish not to swim so why bother trying to change her? Cody knew who she was going into the friendship and he doesn’t expect any less.
As well of the fact that Heather appreciates Cody’s understanding that she isn’t evil. She might be rude and mean but she’s not a monster and Cody doesn’t treat her like one. She is also aware of his insecurities and instead of using them against him, she helps him overcome them. Through jabs and insults of course but he knows what she means.
They’re like siblings (I know some people are tired of this but I am forever a Heather/Cody siblings fan). Only they can insult the other.
For my AU, the teams are a little different from canon. For starters, I’m moving Sierra to the villains team, removing Sam and adding in Cody, Trent, and Leshawna.
Changing the teams, it’s goes;
Villainous Vultures: Alejandro, Heather, Duncan, Gwen, Scott, Lightning, Jo, and Sierra
Sierra is placed on the villain team due to her creepy behavior during TDWT (Don’t worry tho, she gets better after the season and doesn’t go nuts like she did in canon).
I took out Sam cause there’s no way he was an All Star and also because all that man did was suffer on the season so I’ll spare him from that.
I added Trent and Leshawna because it makes it funnier since they have personal beef with Heather.
These teams aren’t definite, so some changes may be made but this is basically the outline.
Anyway, that makes 8 members on each team.
And going forward, Heather and Cody’s friendship thrives throughout the season, confusing everyone, especially the Gen 1 cast due to their experiences with Heather, cause since when does Heather have friends? Especially Cody? They couldn’t be any more different.
It ranges from others thinking they have an alliance (they don’t, they’re friends but it’s a competition), thinking they’re dating (they shoot that down immediately), or thinking that Heather is manipulating Cody and being a bad influence (he makes fun of her for that, saying he’s gonna tell on her for being a bad influence on him when she’s being mean).
If you’re writing a canon based post-Thunderbolts* SamBucky fic and you have Sam and Bucky apologizing to each other, and/or Sam comforting Bucky, and/or Sam meeting Bucky halfway, then I know what you are, and what you are, among other things, is a red flag.
Baby, I’m not reading that bullshit. It’s ridiculous, and so are you.
Seriously, like what does Sam have to apologize for??? Not letting the government claim the Avengers name?? Not letting himself be disrespected?? What do these people want Sam to do? I know what they want! they want Sam to coddle and baby their favorite white boys!
I get so disappointed when I’m reading a post and it involves my favorite characters but then it just turns into how so smart and cool and mysterious and badass and scary and perfect Batman is and how everyone is intimidated by him and how he can beat everyone in the Justice League with just his pinkie- like we get it man. He’s your favorite but if you have to drag down the intelligence of other characters in order to make him look smarter and better, you automatically lose any credibility of being a good writer you had from me.
And I’m not trying to police anyone, indulge however you want in your own stories, (I do it all the time and it is fun as hell) just please stop polluting the image of the other Justice League members.
I can’t search up the Barry Allen tag without seeing it ALL about Batman and with only a small mention of Barry and they make him stupid despite him being a forensic scientist.
As well as Clark. I love my boy Clark but I can never find anything about him unless it’s about Batman and how in love with him he is. To be fair, the comics are lowkey kinda like that but whats the point of writing him in when it’s just for him to swoon over Batman and become a jealous possessive Dom! Alpha! when Bruce gets attention from other people. I literally sigh from disappointment.
This comes from someone who is currently looking for Barry Allen stuff and is getting really frustrated.

In my own canon of MCD, Dante was going to be sold into slavery by the werewolves before Donna and him left.
What would be the reason for them to keep him? They were starving him so he couldn’t fight back so they either planned to starve him to death or to weaken him for something.
They already had just sold him, the buyer just needed to collect him. Donna concludes that if she can’t take Logan, she’s taking Dante with her because in no way is she going to allow a teenager to be sold into slavery.
When Aphmau finds them, when Donna is recounting the story she leaves out the slavery part, saying that it’s not her story to tell and it would be best to ask Dante about it. Aphmau decided not to at that moment because they just met and planned to ask later but they got sidetracked with everything else going on so she forgot to.
Years later, when Phoenix Drop is developed and thriving, she talking to Donna when she mentions that she’s glad Dante was able to leave “that” behind. Aphmau gets confused and asks her what she meant, Donna is surprised she never asked Dante about it but she once again says, “it’s not [her] place to tell.”
Aphmau decides to finally ask about it since they are close now. When she does, Dante becomes a little skittish about it but ultimately decides to tells her. He was going to be sold into slavery. Had Aphmau not found him and Donna and protected them, he would have likely had been dragged back and given to the slave buyer. He’s gotten somewhat over it since it was years ago and it’s never really been brought up again. He never mentioned it because you can’t really bring it up in casual conversation and he wanted to leave it past him.
Aphmau is heartbroken, considering the fact that Dante was just a teenager when she found him and is angry at the fact that he was treated as property. She, as his lord, vows that she will never allow that to happen again, that she will protect him.
…but what if the buyer came back? He had already bought Dante, so technically, he belongs to him. And he wants his property back…

Headcanon that after Garmadon’s sacrifice, Lloyd needs a new legal guardian and while Wu is his uncle, you cannot tell me there wouldn’t be any legal issues with Wu disappearing often and not having much of a paper trail, same with Misako. So Kai ends up stepping up and becoming Lloyd’s new legal guardian. Officially becoming a Smith. Lloyd Garmadon Smith.
