Official A/N!
So, what are we doing here?
A classpect test...ish! The original idea was exactly that, a classpect test, cut and dry. No shade to the Homestuck team, but the official aspect test is pretty surface-level. The one cool thing about it is the signs. But with 144 possible results, as I made Ult Dirk explain here, the number of questions needed (in order to avoid ties) would be astronomical. So I decided to make it a gimmick: who loves to tell people how to be more than Dirk Strider? The issue is that the test will still have 94 questions. Which is a fucking lot. So this test isn't so much a test as it is an experience. A fanfiction with multiple choices. It's weird, it probably sucks as an idea, but I like that it breaks the mold of what personality tests are supposed to be.
Where is this blog going?
Eventually, there will be an actually "playable" test. In the mean time, I will slowly reveal some of the classpect descriptions through the polls -> the English Room experiments -> the result. (See links for an example) Do I expect to get anything out of this? No, but I've worked on this test for a long time, and I will get enjoyment if nothing else out of it. I love getting to roleplay as Ult Dirk, and responding to asks or reading submissions on the Tally forms (the term Submit is used with titillating purpose). I have to act like an asshole when I write as Ult Dirk, legally, but I'm never annoyed by messages or asks.
Is your interpretation of classpects completely original?
No, thank you for asking, dear reader. It's heavily inspired by this blog, which I recommend if you like classpect theory. I also don't think I know better than the Homestuck team when it comes to classpects, I simply think it was left vague enough in Homestuck proper that you can have your own theories and kinda be right.
This blog's philosophy essentially hinges on this paragraph from classpect-navelgazing's intro post:
...Unless, of course, your name is Dirk Strider, and you're always more correct than everyone else.
