I really like the warmth of your sketches, they actually give of a very welcoming feeling. Almost like childrens book illustrations. One critique is that you might be able to improve on line confidence. It's something I work on too. Your lines seems pencily, light. If they're just sketches then no biggie! I also enjoy your shapes compositionally. Keep on going!
I saw this years later, but I greatly appreciate it. It's funny how our own struggles can translate into artwork unintentionally. I also felt the need for validation of my artwork. That somehow people liking it was going to make it better or good, but it innately can be that, good. While I don't draw much anymore, and when I do its often just a spur of a moment thing, I appreciate the insight none-the-less.
