That curly head of hair can only belong to one person and it’s with a wide smile that she skips forward to latch onto his arm. She can sense that he’s somehow different than her, which probably means he’s a Servant instead of a master, so she's careful to not use his name or even code name. She can't go giving his identity away, after all. What kinda Phantom Thief would that make her?

( And how does that work, she wonders? How does the GRAIL (or whatever it is, because it can’t be the actual Holy Grail; it’s way too nice and (probably) not planning the destruction of the world.) choose who will become a Master and who will become a Servant? But that's really something she should worry about later. )

She’s not paying attention; her shoulders are hunched and her gaze is glued to the pavement under her feet. She had meant to finish up her shopping before the rush hour truly began, but she had gotten distracted by the, frankly, beautiful selection of computers in the store and now she’s regretting it. 

Especially when she runs smack-dab into someone.

She stumbles back, rubbing her nose in pain, before the situation actually hits her.

“I-I’m sorry!” Its somewhat muffled, due the the fact that her hand is still hovering over her nose and mouth, but she can’t bring herself to care.

This is some kind of hilarious joke constructed by the gods and the universe and whomever is behind this GRAIL business. Servant.

Servant.

The word stings deep. Servants are Felicia and Flora and Jakob. Servants are supposed to toil and scrape and demean and–

He’s a prince.

Leo, second prince of Nohr, bearer of the sacred relic Brynhildr.

Not a servant.

At least he doesn’t need to grovel and scrape to find his so-called ‘Master’. Whomever was behind the strings of this world had dropped them both together into this…quaint domicile. And it seems to be some small stroke of good fortune that his 'Master’ seems as ill-fitted to her role as he is to his own, if her hiding is anything to go by.

What Leo needs is to find her and explain that, under no circumstances, is he serving her in any role whatsoever. This GRAIL business can go find itself another set of heroes. Leo’s fought in one war. He’s not fighting in another, especially one which doesn’t concern him. This isn’t his world and therefore, not his problem.

A dim crash catches his attention and Leo backtracks past the room he’d already walked by. He pauses at the door, listening for a moment before he raps the back of one hand against the door. “I’d like a word,” he states, tersely. It sounds more like an order and less like a question. 

She squeaks, backing herself further into the closet. The person on the other side of the door sounds mean; there’s no way she’s coming out of here of her own free will. 

“You’re.... you’re just gonna have to ta-talk to me through the door,” she says, internally cursing the way her voice trembles. She really thought she had gotten better, especially with Akira’s help,but it seems being unceremoniously pulled into an entirely new world was a set back.

Who knew?

“Um... I’m Futaba. Who are you?” She really doesn’t like not being able to figure this out herself. Already, her fingers itch to start looking into the Terminal and the GRAIL. Maybe she’ll even find someone she knows, if she’s lucky. 

She isn’t panicking. Not at all, not one bit. There is no way she’s panicking. It’s not like being pulled into an entirely new world after the apparent destruction of Earth was anything to panic about. It’s not like she’s been separated from her family and friends, entirely alone in an unfamiliar place.

It’s not like the Holy Grail is to blame. Again.

Ha ha... who is she kidding? She’s totally panicking. There’s no way she wouldn’t be panicking, not even if everyone else was here with her. Which is why, she’s shut herself in the nearest room she could find, not keen on the possibility of running into her... Servant. Whatever that was supposed to mean. Isn’t her Persona enough? Not that Necronomicon has any offensive capabilities but still! Anything would be better than having to live with a complete stranger.

Said “room” just so happened to be a closet located right by the house’s front door.

Ah, sweet, sweet enclosed darkness.

For a brief moment, she’s calm. She can pretend this is the closet in her room, can pretend that this is all just a dream and that none of it is happening. She’ll open the door and-

Footsteps break her out of her hopeful daydream. She startles, hands flying to cover her mouth to keep her terrified squeak from being heard. This is, of course, a mistake, as the weird cube thing she had been holding clatters to the floor.
