Portfolio review/critique! Upperclassmen and underclassmen came together and all took a good look at each other's portfolios. 

A playground design project our current pre-junior (third year) just went through! They were designing part of a playground in Ishinomaki, Japan. The location was wiped clean after the 311 tsunami last year, and now UC students are making a relief effort by designing part of the area. A playground may not mean much in terms of the rebuild (obviously food, water, home, school, etc should come first), but what the students were designing is more than a playground. It is something that symbolize the friendship between Japan and the US, telling the people in Ishinomaki that they are not alone.
