Guys I think Yue fucking died.

Yes, I made this enemy entirely for the pun. Have some fun mechanics planned though! Don't plan on having it finished anytime soon since it'll be used in a later area, just wanted to do a small bit of work and had the design ready.

Right now I only have a few sprites ready for it, but this will be a fight that makes use of the ACT system (Different than UT/DR's, I swear).

Sorry for not posting much, got sick and then had to deal with finishing up college! (I've graduated now :D).

Another old project that... I never completed lol. Not that it's not complete, most of the parts are there, it's just I got busy with my other projects and had to put this to the side lol. I always thought it was kinda sad we never got another Splatoon game with Squid Jump, or a sequel like Squid Beatz did, so... I made my own! As you can tell from the logo, you can play as a Octopus in this as well ^_^.

The video attached is the tutorial level that you play at boot up upon your first run of the game. The red bars at the side are actually collisions to ensure the player doesn't just poof into the void.

There were five areas planned, but I only ever got around to having three with fully fleshed out designs.

The Falls of Tartarus (The first area, you see it near the end there lol)

Splatsville Heights (The first Big Run, stage 2. Would have introduced the actual story I had planned lol)

Deepsea Metro (Introduced one of two unique powerups new to the game. You can guess what it was. Ovo')

The story would've actually played into how Squid Jump 2 was cancelled in-universe, with the cancellation caused by both the lead programmer and musician (in-universe) ghosting the rest of the dev team. A ROM file eventually made its way into circulation, thus how you (the player) would be playing it! It wouldn't be haunted or anything, but it would show what happened to the Dev and Musician.

I had a lot of ideas for this (power eggs, urchin spikes, Bamboozler, amp launchers, etc), but college/life is a pain in the ass sometimes 0_0'. Still plan on coming back to this eventually, but wanted to post it here since a lot of my posts will be a backlog until I catch up to my current progress on my stuff : D

This is also old-ish, but for Project Starfall I realized that I'd had to redo a lot of the special attack sprites/animations because of something that would happen later in the story. Instead of making two sets of each animation, I figured giving each special attack their own "powerup" design. Here is the main character of my game activating one of the abilities! (Yes, despite having extra work to make each special attack have it's own design, it's still more efficient to do over redoing every sprite for a second design lol). I say this is a old-ish thing because I've had this specific recording for a while to show friends, and didn't originally plan to show it anywhere else ^ -^'.
