Everyday was the same and everyday she told herself she shouldâve known working in an arcade would bring in a certain type of people. There were the (mostly) cute kids that came in with their parents, the adults that were feeling a bit nostalgic and then there were the pimply teenagers. The damn teenagers. âHey, hey,â she told the ones standing in front of her, snapping her fingers in their direction. âMy eyes are up here, losers. You realize Iâm probably old enough to be your mother, right? Run along before I add you to my banned customers list.â She hadnât technically told Bowie about this list she secretly kept, but what he didnât know couldnât hurt him. âSorry about that,â Rory told the next person in line. âYouâd be surprised how often that happens. Or maybe you wouldnât.â

âNot surprised at allâ Tyler shook his head with a knowing chuckle at the mention of the brunetteâs list. âI was definitely on more than my fair share of those kind of lists when I was an annoying teenâ he nodded thinking back. âMore for causing trouble than eyeing up the assistants thoughâÂ
âActually, come to think of it, Iâm probably still on quite a few lists nowâ he confessed knowing that just doing what heâd needed to do to survive had got him banned from a fair proportion of Silverlake businesses in the past. Just because heâd grown up and got his life together didnât mean the business owners had forgotten. âSome people are like elephantsâ he joked. âThey never forgetâ
